This Association is governed by an elected State Board consisting of threemusic teachers and one school administrator from each of the eight zones inIndiana. SOLO EVENTS1. Any standard or unabridged edition may be used inaddition to those listed, as long as it is not a simplifiedarrangement of the original piece.2. Bowing and articulations chosen for musicalinterpretation should be clearly marked in the judges’score and so observed in the performance.3. The judges’ score must have all performed measuresnumbered.4. Unless specified, any major movement or combinationof two contrasting movements from within a piece maybe performed. The chosen movement(s) should notexceed the maximum time requirement for that eventand should represent the level of difficulty worthy ofISSMA Group I entries.5.
