Install battery-operated carbon monoxide alarms orplug-in carbon monoxide alarms with battery back-upaccording to the manufacturer’s instructions. Smokealarms cannot detect carbon monoxide gas. DO NOT run this product inside homes, garages,basements, crawlspaces, sheds, or other partiallyenclosed spaces even if using fans or opening doorsand windows for ventilation. Carbon monoxide canquickly build up in these spaces and can linger for hours,even after this product has shut off. ALWAYS place this product downwind and point theengine exhaust away from occupied spaces.If you start to feel sick, dizzy, or weak while using thisproduct, get to fresh air RIGHT AWAY. See a doctor. Youmay have carbon monoxide poisoning. Use a respirator or mask whenever there is a chance thatvapors may be inhaled when using chemicals. Read all instructions with mask so you are certain themask will provide the necessary protection againstinhaling harmful vapors when using chemicals.WARNING Chemical Burn Hazard.Chemicals could cause burns resulting indeath or serious injury. It is a violation of California Public Resource Code,Section 4442, to use or operate the engine on any forestcovered, brush-covered, or grass-covered land unlessthe exhaust system is equipped with a spark arrester, asdefined in Section 4442, maintained in effective workingorder. Other states or federal jurisdictions may havesimilar laws.Contact the original equipment manufacturer, retailer,or dealer to obtain a spark arrester designed for theexhaust system installed on this engine. Replacement parts must be the same and installed in thesame position as the original parts.WARNING Risk of electrocution.Contact with power source could causeelectric shock or burn resulting in death orserious injury. NEVER spray near power source.WARNING Use of pressure washer could createpuddles and slippery surfacescausing you to fall resulting in deathor serious injury.Kickback from spray gun could cause you to fallresulting in death or serious injury. Operate pressure washer from a stable surface. The cleaning area should have adequate slopes anddrainage to reduce the possibility of a fall due to slipperysurfaces. Be extremely careful if you must use the pressure washerfrom a ladder, scaffolding, or any other similar location. Firmly grasp spray gun with both hands when using highpressure spray to avoid injury when spray gun kicksback.4WARNING Fuel and its vapors are extremelyflammable and explosive which couldcause burns, fire or explosionresulting in death or serious injury.WHEN ADDING OR DRAINING FUEL Turn pressure washer engine OFF and let it cool at least2 minutes before removing fuel cap. Loosen cap slowly torelieve pressure in tank. Fill or drain fuel tank outdoors. DO NOT overfill tank. Allow space for fuel expansion. If fuel spills, wait until it evaporates before starting engine. Keep fuel away from sparks, open flames, pilot lights,heat, and other ignition sources. Check fuel lines, tank, cap and fittings frequently forcracks or leaks. Replace if necessary. DO NOT light a cigarette or smoke.WHEN STARTING EQUIPMENT Ensure spark plug, muffler, fuel cap, and air cleaner are inplace. DO NOT crank engine with spark plug removed.WHEN OPERATING EQUIPMENT DO NOT operate this product inside any building,carport, porch, mobile equipment, marine applications, orenclosure. DO NOT tip engine or equipment at angle which causesfuel to spill. DO NOT spray flammable liquids.WHEN TRANSPORTING, MOVING OR REPAIRINGEQUIPMENT Transport/move/repair with fuel tank EMPTY or with fuelshutoff valve OFF (0). DO NOT tip engine or equipment at angle which causesfuel to spill. Disconnect spark plug wire.WHEN STORING FUEL OR EQIPMENRT IN THE FUELTANK Store away from furnaces, stoves, water heaters, clothesdryers, or other appliances that have pilot light or otherignition source because they could ignite fuel vapors.WARNING Starter cord kickback (rapidretraction) will pull hand and arm towardengine faster than you can let go whichcould cause broken bones, fractures,bruises, or sprains resulting in serious injury. NEVER pull starter cord without first relieving spray gunpressure. When starting engine, pull cord slowly until resistance isfelt and then pull rapidly to avoid kickback. After each starting attempt, where engine fails to run,always point spray gun in safe direction, press red buttonand squeeze spray gun trigger to release high pressure. WARNING The high pressure stream of waterthat this equipment produces could cutthrough skin and its underlying tissues,resulting in serious injury and possibleamputation.Spray gun traps high water pressure, even whenengine is stopped and water is disconnected, whichcould result in serious injury. If cut by fluid, call physician immediately. DO NOT treatas a simple cut. DO NOT allow CHILDREN to operate pressure washer. NEVER repair high pressure hose. Replace it. NEVER repair leaking connections with sealant of anykind. Replace o-ring or seal. NEVER connect high pressure hose to nozzle extension. Keep high pressure hose connected to pump and spraygun while system is pressurized. ALWAYS point spray gun in safe direction, press redbutton and squeeze spray gun trigger to release highpressure, every time you stop engine. NEVER aim spray gun at people, animals, or plants. DO NOT secure spray gun in open position. DO NOT leave spray gun unattended while machine isrunning. NEVER use a spray gun which does not have a triggerlock or trigger guard in place and in working order. Always be certain spray gun, nozzles and accessoriesare correctly attached.WARNING Unintentional sparking could causefire or electric shock resulting in deathor serious injury.WHEN ADJUSTING OR MAKING REPAIRS TO YOURPRESSURE WASHER Disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug andplace the wire where it cannot contact spark plug.WHEN TESTING FOR ENGINE SPARK Use approved spark plug tester. DO NOT check for spark with spark plug removed.WARNING Starter and other rotating partscould entangle hands, hair, clothing, oraccessories resulting in serious injury. NEVER operate pressure washer without protectivehousing or covers. DO NOT wear loose clothing, jewelry or anything thatcould be caught in the starter or other rotating parts. Tie up long hair and remove jewelry.WARNING Risk of eye or bodily injury.Spray could splash back or propelobjects resulting in serious injury. Always wear indirect vented (chemical splash) safetygoggles marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1 when usingor in vicinity of this equipment. NEVER operate pressure washer when barefoot orwearing sandals or shorts.CAUTION Excessively high operating speedscould result in minor injury.Excessively low speeds impose a heavy load. DO NOT tamper with governor spring, links or otherparts to increase engine speed. Pressure washersupplies correct rated pressure and flow when running atgoverned speed. DO NOT modify pressure washer in any way.NOTICE High pressure spray could damage fragileitems including glass. DO NOT point spray gun at glass when using red (0 ) spray tip. NEVER aim spray gun at plants.NOTICE Improper treatment of pressure washercould damage it and shorten its life. If you have questions about intended use, ask dealer orcontact qualified service center. NEVER operate units with broken or missing parts, orwithout protective housing or covers. DO NOT by-pass any safety device on this machine. DO NOT tamper with governed speed. DO NOT operate pressure washer above rated pressure. DO NOT modify pressure washer in any way. Before starting pressure washer in cold weather, check allparts of the equipment to be sure ice has not formed there. NEVER move machine by pulling on hoses. Use handleprovided on unit. AssemblyRead entire operator’s manual before youattempt to assemble or operate your newpressure washer.Your pressure washer requires some assembly and isready for use after it has been properly serviced withthe recommended oil and fuel.If you have any problems with the assembly of yourpressure washer, please call the pressure washerhelpline at (888) 611-6708. If calling for assistance,please have the model, revision, and serial numberfrom the identification label available.Unpack Pressure Washer1. Remove the parts bag, accessories, and insertsincluded with pressure washer.2. Open carton completely by cutting each cornerfrom top to bottom.3. Ensure you have all included items prior toassembly.Items in the carton include: Main Unit with Cleaning Tank Handle High Pressure Hose Spray Gun Nozzle Extension with Quick Connect Fitting Plastic Accessory Tray Oil Pouch Engine Operator’s Manual Parts Bag (which includes the following): Operator’s Manual Bag of 5 Multi–Colored Quick Connect SprayTips Handle/Accessory Tray Fastening Hardware Kit(which includes): Carriage Bolts (2) Plastic Knobs (2) Tree Clips (4)To prepare your pressure washer for operation,you will need to perform these tasks:1. Attach handle and accessory tray to main unit.2. Add oil to engine crankcase.3. Add fuel to fuel tank.4. Connect high pressure hose to spray gun andpump.5. Connect water supply to pump.6. Attach nozzle extension to spray gun.7. Select/attach quick connect spray tip to nozzleextension.6Attach Handle and Accessory Tray1. Place handle (A) onto handle supports connectedto main unit. Make sure holes in handle align withholes on handle supports.BCA2. Insert handle carriage bolts (B) through holes frominside of unit and attach a plastic knob (C) fromoutside of unit. Tighten by hand.NOTICE By loosening both knobs to the unthreadedmiddle section of the attachment bolt, the upper handlecan fold forward to store flat atop the cold engine.DO NOT fold the handle down while the engine is hot.3. Place accessory tray (D) over holes (E) on handle(viewing from front of unit). Push the tree clips(F) into the holes until they sit flat against theaccessory tray.DFE Add Engine Oil and Fuel Place pressure washer on a level surface. Refer to engine operator’s manual and follow oiland fuel recommendations and instructions.NOTICE Any attempt to crank or start theengine before it has been properly filled with therecommended oil will result in equipment failure. Refer to engine manual for oil and fuel fill information. Damage to equipment resulting from failure to follow thisinstruction will void warranty.NOTICE Check oil often during engine break–in. Lubricate O-RingsLubrication of o-rings is extremely important forinstallation and operation. The use of a lubricant(petroleum or synthetic grease) during assembly helpsseat o-rings properly and provides an improved seal. Italso helps protect the o-ring from damage by abrasion,pinching or cutting and extends the life of the o-ring.NOTICE ALWAYS apply a small amount of lubricanton o-rings prior to assembling the garden hose to thepump (A), high pressure hose (B), spray gun (C), andnozzle extension (D).CLubricate all connections shown below, followingthese instructions:1. Inspect and clean connecting surfaces prior tolubrication and assembly.2. Use lubricants sparingly during assembly; a lightfilm is all that is required.3. Use a small brush or cotton swab to apply greasedirectly to o-rings where they are not accessible(QC fitting, M22 fitting).DBA7

Connect Hose and Water Supply to PumpNOTICE DO NOT run the pump without the watersupply connected and turned on. Damage to equipment resulting from failure to follow thisinstruction will void warranty.NOTICE Remove and discard the shipping caps fromthe pump’s high pressure outlet and water inlet beforeattaching hoses.1. Uncoil high pressure hose and attach one end ofhose to base of spray gun. Tighten by hand.WARNING The high pressure stream of waterthat this equipment produces could cutthrough skin and its underlying tissues,resulting in serious injury and possibleamputation. NEVER connect high pressure hose to nozzle extension. Keep high pressure hose connected to pump and spraygun while system is pressurized. Always be certain spray gun, nozzles and accessoriesare correctly attached.2. Attach other end of high pressure hose to highpressure outlet on pump. Tighten by hand.3. Before connecting garden hose to water inlet,inspect inlet screen (A). Clean screen if it containsdebris or have it replaced if damaged. DO NOTrun pressure washer if inlet screen is damaged.ANOTICE Using a One Way Valve (vacuum breakeror check valve) at pump inlet could cause pump orinlet connector damage. There MUST be at least 10 ft. (3 m) of unrestricted gardenhose between the pressure washer inlet and any device,such as a vacuum breaker or check valve. Damage to equipment resulting from failure to follow thisinstruction will void warranty.5. Connect the garden hose (not to exceed50 ft. (15 m) in length) to the water inlet. Tightenby hand.WARNING Risk of eye injury.Spray could splash back or propel objectsresulting in serious injury. Always wear indirect vented (chemical splash) safetygoggles marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1 when usingor in vicinity of this equipment. Turn ON the water, press red button (B) on thegun and squeeze the trigger to purge the pumpsystem of air and impurities.BChecklist Before Starting EngineReview the unit’s assembly to ensure you haveperformed all of the following.1. Be sure to read Operator Safety and Operationbefore using pressure washer.2. Make sure handle is in place and secure.3. Check that oil has been added to proper level inthe engine crankcase.4. Add proper fuel to fuel tank.5. Check for properly tightened hose connections.6. Check to make sure there are no kinks, cuts, ordamage to high pressure hose.7. Provide a proper water supply at an adequateflow.4. Run water through your garden hose for30 seconds to clean out any debris.NOTICE DO NOT siphon standing water for the watersupply. This startinginformation also applies if you have let the pressurewasher sit idle for at least a day.1. Place pressure washer near an outside watersource capable of supplying water at a flow rategreater than 3.7 gallons (14.0 liter) per minute andno less than 20 PSI (1.4 BAR) at pressure washerend of garden hose. DO NOT siphon supplywater.2. Check that high pressure hose is tightlyconnected to spray gun and pump. See Assemblysection.3. Make sure unit is in a level position.4. Connect garden hose to water inlet on pressurewasher pump.NOTICE DO NOT run the pump without the watersupply connected and turned on. Damage to equipment resulting from failure to follow thisinstruction will void warranty.5. Turn ON water, point gun in a safe direction, pressred button and squeeze trigger to purge pumpsystem of air and impurities.6. Attach nozzle extension to spray gun. Tighten byhand.7. Choose spray tip you want to use, pull back oncollar of nozzle extension, insert spray tip andrelease collar. Tug on spray tip to make sure it issecurely in place. When starting engine, position yourself asrecommended and start engine according toinstructions given in engine operator’s manual.Also see operating instructions tag located on thepressure washer.9. Return starter grip handle slowly.
