INTRODUCTIONThe Brilliant Wonders LED Control offersa dedicated solution for controlling yourpool and spa LED lighting from a convenientremote location. The control is designed toinstall into a standard wall electrical box and iswired to the lighting transformer.Once installed, the control can be used tofully control your pool and spa lighting. Thefull color LCD display is used to access allfunctionality of the control. The advanceddigital dial is used to interact with all optionson the LCD screen. Turn lights on/off, selectand customize light shows and colors, setschedules and lock down the control usingthe advanced digital dial of the control.6

Refer to your LED lighting’s powerconsumption when determining how manyLED products to use with the control.IMPORTANT: Add the individual wattagefor each LED product and do not exceed300 total watts.Examples of possible combinations of CMPBrilliant Wonders products shown below:8 EXAMPLE 1: Twenty-two 11W 1.5" LEDLights EXAMPLE 2: Twelve 11W 1.5" LED Lights,Seven LED Laminars and Twelve feet ofLED Waterfalls EXAMPLE 3: Six 11W 1.5" LED Lights,Three LED Laminars, Three LED Bubblers,Six 4" LED Bubblers and Nine feet of LEDWaterfalls Use any combination of compatible LEDproducts that does not exceed 300 watts.Wattage for other OEM products willvary - refer to manufacturer for details onrelevant product wattage.

INSTALLATIONBEFORE YOU BEGINNOTE: The control requires a Neutralconnection to operate. If retrofitting intoan existing installation, make sure that theelectrical box contains a Neutral connection.MOUNTING LOCATIONThe control installs into a standard electricaloutlet box. When determining a suitablelocation, consider that wiring from the controlmust connect to the primary side of the light’slow voltage transformer.NOTE: The control is designed for indoor usebut can be mounted outdoors if a suitable ULrated weatherproof outlet box and cover areused.For indoor installation the wall plate isincluded. The wall plate includes a backplateand snap-on front finishing plate. Installbackplate with the arrow pointing up usingthe screws provided. Snap on the frontfinishing plate with the arrow pointing up.To remove, insert a small screwdriver in thebottom to separate the front from the back.9

WIRINGLever style terminal blocks are included toassist in installation. Move the levers to fullyopen position when inserting wires. Close thelevers to lock wires in place.All wiring connections should be madedirectly using the additional lever actionterminal blocks. If a ground wire is presentconnect the control’s green wire to groundusing supplied lever action terminal block.Once connected, secure the control intothe recommended electrical box. The next screenlets you confirm the Scene selection. Thedefault option when you select a Scene is toSTART. Select START to switch to the sceneimmediately. The lighting scene will stay on26

An on-screen confirmation willdisplay for two seconds when the color issaved, then return to the Main Menu. Thepreview LED is disabled for color Hold.Only one stored color will be saved at a time.Pressing HOLD on a new color will clear thepreviously saved color.RECALL A COLORPress RECALL COLOR to activate thepreviously held light color. An on screenconfirmation will display for two secondswhen the color is activated, then returns tothe Main Menu. The preview LED is disabledfor color Recall.28

The next screen is the StitchCreation Screen. A Smart Stitch is made of31

multiple Scenes that are “stitched” together.For each part of a Stitch you can control theScene and it’s duration.CREATING A SMART STITCH SEGMENTPress the dial to activate the “select scene”input field. Rotate the dial to select a Sceneand press to confirm.Continue using the digital dial to adjust theduration for the first scene. SAVING A NEW SMART STITCHReview the confirmation screen before saving.Press DONE to save your custom Stitch orpress RENAME to give it a custom name.To Rename, use the dial to spell out yourcustom name and select DONE whencomplete. To access your new Smart Stitch,use the Select Scenes menu. EDITING A SAVED SMART STITCHEditing a Stitch uses the same Stitch CreationScreen as creating a new Smart Stitch. Use thedigital dial to make changes to the scene andduration. When your changes are completeselect NEXT to move on the next segment ofthe Smart Stitch program.You can edit each segment of a saved Stitch.The minimum length is one minute. Segmentscannot be removed when editing. SelectDONE when edits are complete.DELETING A SAVED SMART STITCHUse the Delete Stitch menu to remove aSmart Stitch. SET SCENE AND TIMINGPress the dial to activate the “select scene”input field. Rotate the dial to select a Sceneand press to confirm. You can choose fromany pre-programmed Scene or saved SmartStitch. Use dial to adjust start time and endtime. You must set Hours and Minutes tocontinue. TROUBLESHOOTING & FAQAfter a Power failure, do I need to reset allthe data on the control?No. Only date and time needs to be set.The built-in control memory will remembersettings including saved Smart Stitchprograms, Schedules and Security PIN.I selected a Scene but pool lights show adifferent color. If the Digital Dial does not lightor the screen does not activate contactcustomer support.Can the control be installed outdoors?For outdoor installation the control must bemounted in a suitable UL rated weatherproofoutlet box and cover.Can I connect a 120V light directly to thecontrol?We recommend connecting via 1:1transformer.The control is on and operating but mypool lights do not turn on.Contact your pool builder for assistance.Possible causes of failure are light failure,transformer failure or wiring failure.42
