This includes the use of personal protective equipment to be used tominimise risks to the health and safety of workers when carrying out work using this substance.TOXICITYWARNINGMay cause organ damage from repeated oral exposure at high doses.ECOTOXICITYToxic to aquatic organisms with long lasting effects. Do not apply onto or into water. Avoidcontamination of any water supply with product or empty container.Toxic to the soil environment.HANDLING PRECAUTIONSDo not eat, drink or smoke while using.Do not breathe spray mist.EQUIPMENTA PCBU with management or control of work using this substance must ensure that equipment used tohandle this substance retains the substance, without leakage, at all of the temperatures and pressures atwhich the equipment is to be used; and dispenses or applies the substance, without leakage, at a rate andin a manner that the equipment is designed for. The PCBU must ensure that the equipment is accompaniedby documentation that is readily available and readily understandable about the use and maintenance of theequipment.STORAGEStore in original container tightly closed and in a locked, dry, cool, well ventilated area, away from foodstuffs.There are requirements when storing this product in a workplace, relating to labelling, safety data sheets,stationary container systems, separation distances, secondary containment, emergency response plans,and signage; and in a place other than a workplace, relating to stationary container systems, separationdistances, emergency response plans, secondary containment, and signage. Refer to the product SDS forfurther information.SHELF LIFEWhen stored appropriately this product should show no significant degradation for two years from the dateof manufacture. Contact your supplier for further information about the use of any product that is older thanthis.PERSONAL PROTECTIONWhen mixing or applying wear appropriate protective clothing including cotton overalls buttoned to the neckand wrist, eye protection, impervious, elbow-length gloves and boots. Wash hands, arms and face withsoap and water before meals and after work.SPILLAGEExclude all bystanders from the vicinity of the spill and prevent material from entering waterways. Wearappropriate protective clothing as in the protective clothing section of this label to clean up spills. Absorbspills with an inert material (such as vermiculite, earth, sand or synthetic absorbent substance) and place inwaste containers. Wash area with water and alkaline detergent. Then absorb any remaining liquid withfurther inert material. Dispose of the waste safely in an approved landfill.DISPOSALContainer Disposal - Triple rinse empty container and add rinsate to spray tank. Submit clean emptycontainer to an Agrecovery depot for recycling. Alternatively, puncture and bury in a suitable landfill. BookletAPPLICATION METHODApply only by ground based application methods.Do not apply in more than 300 L of water per hectare. RIFLE may be broadcast or bandsprayed. For band treatment ensure that the use rate per sprayed area is consistent with labelrecommendations. Do not apply if air temperature is likely to rise above 29ºC. Herbicide activitywill be slowed down in cool weather.MIXINGEnsure spray equipment is thoroughly cleaned before use. Add the required amount of RIFLE toa partly filled spray tank with the agitation system operating. Add the remaining water and anytank-mixture partners. Maintain agitation until spraying is complete. Flush equipment with cleanwater after use. Do not allow spray mixture to stand overnight.COMPATIBILITYDo NOT mix RIFLE with any foliar nutrients or surfactants.RAINFALLAvoid treatment if rain is likely before spray has dried on foliage.RESISTANCE MANAGEMENTRIFLE contains the GROUP C1 phenyl-carbamate herbicides, phenmedipham anddesmedipham. Unless directed, do not use another product containing a herbicide in the samegroup in conjunction with RIFLE. Where possible alternate the types of herbicides used withinany one paddock over time.
