APPLE Winner March 2 019Please join in congratulating Debbie Orton, Office Assistant in MDH Medical Group, on beingnamed the recipient of the MDH APPLE Award for March 2019. APPLE stands for “Achievingoutstanding Performance in Patient care, Leadership, Loyalty and Enthusiasm for MDH”.Debbie OrtonDebbie began working at MDH as a Secretary in the Orthopedic Clinic on February 8, 2012. Shealso worked as a secretary in the Psychiatry Clinic starting in November 2016. On September 16,2018, Debbie began working in her current role as Float Office Assistant in the MDH MedicalGroup.Debbie communicates with customers in a professional manner. She is very compassionate andfriendly when working with internal and external customers. Debbie is always very welcoming. She has workedin a variety of office settings and is very skilled in her work. She is intuitive and identifies opportunities forimprovement- always keeping the customer at the forefront of her thinking.Debbie adapts easily and demonstrates an eagerness to learn new things. Debbie can change her course onshort notice without hesitation. Peers have full trust in her work. She has excellent attention to detail and worksefficiently. She gave students apresentation about heart health, demonstrated how to usedifferent tools to measure vitals, and did an exercise activity.Each student also had their oxygen read.
