POLY TORQUE RODSRoad Choice offers quality heavy-duty polyurethane torque rods foryour truck and trailer needs. Our poly torque rods are engineered and constructed to meet OEM standards on all makes andmodels of trucks. The combination of our polyurethane material, mechanical welding and forgedeye components creates a better torque rod and keeps you on the road.FEATURES AND BENEFITS Forged rod eyes Heavy-duty rod bar Stronger mechanical v-groove weld Chemical resistant polyurethane Flanged bushing All-makes coverage Competitively priced 1-year warrantyWHY POLYA MATERIAL AS TOUGH AS IT’S ENVIRONMENT.Truck parts are pushed to their limits everyday due to the heavy-duty environment that they’rerequired to run through. You want a material that you can count on. That’s why Road Choice torquerods are made from a chemically resistant polyurethane. Each part is engineered and tested toachieve a stronger performance with proprietary poly formulations while other part providers use thesame type of poly for all parts. As rubber is exposed to oil, grease, cleaning solvents, rock salt, hydraulic fluids, and diesel fuels itdeteriorates - poly does not. Our polyurethane is 2.5 times stronger than it’s rubber basedcounterpart. Not only is it stronger, our poly has a wider range of tensile strength, tear strength, durometer, elongation range, and rebound properties.Poly allows our torque rods to last longer, perform better, and improve your truck’s suspension byallowing longer intervals in between alignment adjustments.4 roadchoice.com

POLY TORQUE RODSTorque rods are wear items and should be inspected regularly to maintain safety andperformance. Torque rods should be inspected every 6 months on over the road vehiclesand every 90 days on vocational vehicles. When torque rods maintain proper suspensionalignment you benefit with improved fuel mileage, reduced drive-line component and tirewear. All Road Choice Torque Rods are rear position rods.TORQUE ROD BUSHING KEYUse the Torque Rod Bushing key below when selecting the correct replacement torque rod.BUSHINGDESCRIPTIONLENGTHIDODBOLT HOLEH1Torque Rod Bushing,Hollow3"7/8"2 1/16"S1Torque Rod Bushing,Straddle4 3/8" C-C2 1/16"5/8"S2Torque Rod Bushing,Straddle4 3/8" C-C2 7/8"5/8"S3Torque Rod Bushing,Straddle4 3/8"2 1/16"3/4"S5Torque Rod Bushing,Slotted Straddle4 3/8"2 1/16"3/4" X 5/8"T2Torque Rod Bushing,Taper Pin8 1/16"2 7/8"THREAD SIZE1 1/4"-12 UNF-2ASTRADDLE - HOLLOWPART NUMBERDESCRIPTIONCENTER TOCENTERLENGTH (IN)BUSHING #1BUSHING #2WEIGHTTRPCS1H1603Straddle-Hollow, Small Eye23 3/4"S1H113.73TRPCS1H1627Straddle-Hollow, Small Eye24 11/16"S1H113.69roadchoice.com 5

the torque tool. The operator then stops applying torque and the desired value on the torque tool is compared with the value displayed on the torque wrench tester. Again the tool may then need adjustment. Torque screwdrivers: For very small torques, below 5 N.m (0.5 Kgf.m) it is common to use a torque screwdriver rather than a torque wrench.

Reset the torque wrench to the final torque value and tighten bolts to full torque using a cross bolt ci rcle sequence. 1. Finger tighten all bolts using the proper torque sequence. 2. Tighten snuggly with a torque wrench set to 1/2 t he required torque, using the proper torque sequence. 3. Tighten to recommended torque range listed on page 4.
