2.CLARIFICATIONS2.1GENERAL The Schindler 5500MRL & 9300 Escalators has been successfully installed throughout New Zealandand we believe the Schindler products offered will suit the environment where the lifts are to be used.Lifting beams required per Lift (NO Lifting Eyes)Also included are the following:o 12 - month free maintenance period commencing from practical completiono shaft lightingo pit ladderso pit moisture sensorso heat sensorsAdditional details of the Schindler 5500MRL & 9300 Escalators Product Description islisted in Section 3, 4, 5 ,6 & 7.The passenger lifts hav been designed in accordance with Schindler CodeMark Certification:o CodeMark Certification requires Schindler to provide declarations at the building consentand CCC application stages that the conditions of the certificate have been met.o These declarations will provide a BCA the necessary assurance that it has met therequirements in s19(d) of the Act.o In terms of managing risk, this provides the greatest level of assurance for a BCA.o NOTE, where this assurance has been provided, Producer Statements are now irrelevantand therefore NOT required.o Lifts also comply with EN81-20Note speed-wall construction is not suitable for lift guide rail fixing or landing door header supportsUNLESS structural steel members are installed at required positions.Our tender specification is based on Schindler products currently being successfully installedinternationally and throughout New Zealand and includes Schindler’s special and standard controlfeatures plus special requirements as detailed. Intellectual Property-All intellectual property rights in the Equipment including in the control software, whichenables routine operation, maintenance and repair of the Equipment ("Control Software")remain the property of Schindler.-Schindler hereby grants a non-exclusive license to the Customer (and any contractor onbehalf of the Customer) to use the Control Software to operate the Equipment for its ownpurposes, but the Customer shall have no other right or interest in the Control Software, andsave only as required by law, no right to reproduce, reverse engineer or deal in the ControlSoftware. 6.6.1LIFTS ASSOCIATED WORKSGENERAL DETAILSaTo furnish, within thirty days (or sooner if required) from the date of acceptance ofthis proposal, all required data including but not limited to, formal acceptance,necessary structural and architectural drawings, specifications, etc., to red.OTHERSbBuild in hitch beams into walls and / or floor slabs as may be required by the liftContractor.OTHERScAll supports to be certified by a Registered Engineer to satisfy the requirements ofthe nominated codes.OTHERSdTo furnish a clean dry lockable site storage area from the time the material isreceived on site until completion of contract. Should there be not site storage whenmaterials arrive and or the building structure be unable to accommodate such,offsite storage and secondary handling charges to site will be the responsibility ofothers. Any further additional insurance charges involved with offsite storage is theresponsibility of others. Offsite storage in no way restricts payments.
