THE ENJOYMENT OF ZIKRAND PLEASURE IN GIVING UP SIN“O you who believe, fear Allah and adopt the companyof the Truthful (those who abstain from sin). And for those who strive on Our path, We will mostcertainly open from them avenues of guidance.”The topic being discussed these days is the seven types of peoplewho will be granted the shade of the Arsh1 by Allah . Thosewho will be granted the shade of the Arsh will be forgivenwithout any reckoning or accounting. This is because, wherethere will be reckoning and accounting, there will be no shade.Since Allah is calling these types of people into the shade, itproves that they will be forgiven without any reckoning oraccount. Can one ever imagine a kind and compassionateperson inviting one into his home, granting one refuge andthereafter involving one in some calamity? Since this cannoteven be imagined about the Kind and Compassionate people ofthe world, how can it ever be possible in the case of AllahWho is the most kind and the most compassionate that He callssomeone into the shade of His Arsh and thereafter involves himin punishment? Only those for whom forgiveness is destined willbe called into the shade of the Arsh. Of the seven types ofpeople, I have already discussed three.1The Mighty Throne of Allah.5

THE ENJOYMENT OF ZIKRAND PLEASURE IN GIVING UP SINA UNIQUE COMMENTARY OF A JUST RULERI had mentioned that with regard to a just ruler, one who is aKhalifah1 or king of a country, who is kind and just to hissubjects, people will say, “Such kingdom and rulership is noteven visible in our wildest dreams. How then can we becomejust rulers and acquire the shade of Allah’sArsh?” Onthis point I had mentioned that if we establish just rulershipover the five or six feet of our bodies, we too, will be countedamong the just rulers, that is:If we do not cast evil glances, we have establishedjustice over the province of our eyes.If we do not fulfill the inner demand to listen tomusic, we have established justice over the provinceof our ears.If we do not intentionally entertain evil thoughtsand derive pleasure from such thoughts, we haveestablished justice over the capital and centraladministration.administration.In this manner, every believer who maintains controlover his limbs and organs will be considered a justconsideredruler because the heart is the capital, the centraland focus of control.Such a person has acquired amazing strength in the capital ofhis heart through companionship with some friends of Allah .His heart has become very strong. He has established a justpleasure. Allah grants him such shame and a sense of selfrespect and honour whereby he abstains from importing the evilactions of deriving impermissible pleasures. Along with this,Allahalso grants him protection of the heart whereby herealises, “I am eating the food provided to me by Allah .1A depty - a ruler of country.6

THE ENJOYMENT OF ZIKRAND PLEASURE IN GIVING UP SINHow then can I derive the ability to see by means of this foodand use that ability to disobey Him? How can I look at someoneelse’s mother, sister, daughter or aunt? How can I look atbeardless youth or such youth who have a very slight beard?Allahgrants him such a sense of shame that he protects allhis limbs and organs from disobedience to Allah . Thus, heis granted salvation from shamelessness and salvation from alife lacking in nobility. The unending, unlimitedincomparableenjoymentinandzikrullahThis person now submits all his limbs and organs to theobedience of Allah, he saves himself from the pleasurederived from disobedience and thereby finds within himselfhis beloved Allah. As a result of this, he discovers suchintense enjoyment which makes him forget pleasures andenjoyments of both the worlds.I have attained the pleasures of both worldsthrough Your Name.Through Your Name, I have attained thepleasures of both worlds. In fact, I go as far as saying, Allah will grant pleasure farmore than can be experienced in both the worlds. This coupletof (Hazrat) Akhtar regarding the enjoyment in Allah’s nameyou have heard over and over again:That King of both the worlds, in whose heart He comes,Pleasure in excess to both the worlds he experiences.7

THE ENJOYMENT OF ZIKRAND PLEASURE IN GIVING UP SINThe pleasure and enjoyment in Allah’s name is incomparable, unending and limitless. The cause of the ahlullah’sindependencefromfinitebeauty and it’s exampleWhen the heart will experience the pleasure in taking the nameof Allah , then the pleasure experienced in finite things willdrop from one’s sight. One’s experience from a worldly point ofview proves that one who has lived in the bright sunlightcannot be fooled by the dim light of the stars. This is why theplanet closest to the sun is called Mercury. Scientists haveexplained that Mercury has not been given a single moonbecause it remains brightened by the sun all the time. This is whyno moon is required there. Even if it had a moon. the light ofsuch a moon would not be visible at all. Similarly, one whoseheart is brightened by the sun of the closeness of Allah , onewho is the companion of the Creator of the sun, has so muchlight in his heart that all the combined lights of the universecompared to the light of Allah is totally insignificant in hissight. His inner condition is expressive of this condition:Whose coming has caused the brilliance of thegathering to diminish? The specks of light have been subsituted bysparks spurting forth from the heart. It was but a single thunder bolt that struckThereafter I know not,8

THE ENJOYMENT OF ZIKRAND PLEASURE IN GIVING UP SINbut when I looked within my bosom therewas no heart, no soul.In the presence of Your extreme beauty my courageto elucidate and lecture has been set aside,My eyes without words have been set aside, my tonguewithout sight has been set aside.compareddidar,To the pleasure of allah ta’ala’sparadisewillbeinsignificantThis is why my beloved Murshid.1 Shah Abdul Ghani SahebPhoulpoori () used to say while quoting a Hadith “Whenthe Didar 2 of Allah will take place in paradise, no inhabitantof paradise will remember any bounty of paradise. Each one willhave their gaze fixed on his Master and Creator.” This is proofthat there is no pleasure, there is no enjoyment in this world aswell as in the hereafter compared to Allahand compared totaking Allah’s name. Had the pleasure of the bounties in paradisebeen greater than the Didar of Allah, the inhabitants ofparadise would remember them even while experiencing thisDidar. Instead, the inhabitants of paradise will completelyforget paradise on witnessing the countenance of Allah .the enjoyment of taking allah ta’ala’sname is even greater than paradiseSimilarly, one who has already experienced the enjoyment andpleasure of Zikrullah of taking Allah’s name in this world, becomes independent of all the combined pleasures of both theworlds. From this we learn that the pleasure and enjoyment ofAllah’s name is totally incomparable, infinite without beginningand without end. The enjoyments and pleasures of paradisehave a beginning but have no end while the pleasures and1An expert spiritual guide.29The sight of Allah Ta’ala.

THE ENJOYMENT OF ZIKRAND PLEASURE IN GIVING UP SINenjoyments of this world has a beginning and will certainlycome to an end. Therefore, the Ahlullah, let alone the pleasuresand enjoyments of the world, experience pleasure and enjoymentwithin their hearts even more than the pleasures and enjoymentsof paradise. One whose heart finds tranquillity in taking thename of Allah does not even allow the whispering of pleasureand enjoyment derived from non-Allah to even approach hisheart. Those who have resorted to finding peace and tranquillityin anything besides Allah who are deriving such peace andtranquallity or have the intention to do so are those deprivedsouls who have not tasted the pleasure and enjoyment in Allah’sname. Our Allah, after all is Allah! The master and friend afterall is the master and friend! His splendour is indeed amazing. Itis He who grants rulership and kingdom to those sitting onsimple straw mats and sack cloth. It is He who grants theenjoyment of biryani 1 and other delicious dishes in simplechutney and bread. Whenever one of His friends spreads hisprayer rug, be it in the wilderness or on the banks of someriver, He grants them the intoxication of being a ruler and kingas a result of which all other pleasures and enjoyments arereduced to nothing in comparison. What does the intoxication of kingship have to offer? What dothe beauties of the world have to offer? What reality does thebeauty of all the beauties of the world have? If at preciselythe time a person has his beloved lovingly wrapped in hisarms and he is whispering sweet words to prove his loyalty, his willingness to sacrifice his very life for her, and at that verymoment, she happens to have a case of the running stomach,I place the Qur’aan on such a person’s head and ask him,“Tell me what your condition will be at that time? Will you drivethis beloved away or not? Will you not flee from there? On theother hand, those who are the men of Allah are intoxicatedby the enjoyment of Allah’s name without submitting to the1A tasty dish prepared with rice and meat.10

THE ENJOYMENT OF ZIKRAND PLEASURE IN GIVING UP SINvile and distasteful location of the worldly beloved’s ‘groundfloor’. Their hearts experience such a level of peace andtranquillity that if a person who has not found any peace andtranquillity anywhere in the world, comes into their companyand sits with them will, Insha-Allah, find himself in a state ofpeace and tranquillity. If one can find peace and tranquillityin the company of men of Allah, what level of peace andtranquillity will one find in the name of Allah ?“Take heed! Only in the Zikr of Allah dohearts find tranquillity.”The One in whose name there is the effect of peace and tranquillity, what will His being be like? When Allah will be found in theheart, in other words, when Allah manifests Himself with HisSpecial Light, how much peace and tranquillity will one experience? The elevated condition of Hazrat ShahAbdul ghani saheb phoulpoori ()and his splendid state of loveMy Murshid Shah Abdul Ghani Saheb Phoulpoori ()used to say with regard to the above verse-today I am informingyou all about my Shaikh1. My Shaikh informed me in the Eid-gah2in Sarai Mir in Azamgarh (India) while I was studying there. The Salah used to be performed in the Eid-gah because theMadrasah 3 was a poor one and could not have a Masjid4constructed. Trees were planted all over the Eid-gah . Themoonlight was filtering through the leaves of the trees andfalling upon my Murshid Shah Abdul Ghani Saheb Phoulpoori() while he was busy performing Awwabeen5 Salah after12Spiritual guide. The place located outside a town or city reserved3for performance of Eid Salah. An institute of Islamic learning.4The place where Muslims worship Allah Ta’ala.5This is a form of optional prayers performed after the Maghrib Salah.11

THE ENJOYMENT OF ZIKRAND PLEASURE IN GIVING UP SINMaghrib 1. He was an amazing lover of Allah. This wasduring the summer months and he was wearing a thin Kurta2.He was standing below a tree preoccupied with his Salah whilethe moonlight filtered through the leaves of the trees andilluminated him as if he was shining in that moonlight. Aftercompleting his six Rak’ats of Awwabeen he turned towards meand said, “Hakeem Akhtar, I was born in the Mehrab3 of thisvery Eid-gah.” I replied “Hazrat, I do not understand the meaningof your words.” He then said, “When Hazrat HakeemulUmmat, Mujaddidul-Millat Moulana Ashraf Ali Saheb Thanwi() came to Azamgarh, it was in the Mehrab of this veryEid-gah that I became Bay’at4 at his hands. Therefore, I referto this as my place of birth. When a person becomes Bay’at atthe hands of some man of Allah , it is the beginning of newlife for him. At the time of Bay’at, Hazrat Hakeemul-Ummatput me to a severe test as well. It was a very difficult test. Whilemaking me Bay’at, he said to me, ‘Say, I am becoming Bay’atat the hands of Ashraf Ali.’ Allahassisted me and savedme from disgrace. I immediately said, I am becoming Bay’aton the hands of Hakeemul-Ummat, Mujaddidul-Millat, HazratMoulana Shah Ashraf Ali Saheb Thanwi (). Had Imerely said, “I am becoming Bay’at to Ashraf Ali,” my Murshidwould have thought, “I have come into contact with nothing buta simple villager, for he has repeated my words as I havementioned them.” Thus, I passed this test.Thereafter, Hazrat asked me to remind him to have thecorrespondence posted the next morning at ten. I remainedrestless the entire night making Dua 5 “O Allah ! Let meremember at the appropriate time.” Precisely at ten the next1This is the compulsory prayer which is performed after the sun sets. The long shirt worn by Muslim men.3The arched niche wherein the leader of the congregation standsin order to lead the prayer.4The act of spiritual initiation into a spiritual chain or order.5Supplicating in the court of Allah Ta’ala.212

THE ENJOYMENT OF ZIKRAND PLEASURE IN GIVING UP SINmorning Hazratwala, Shah Abdul Ghani Saheb () handedover the letters to me. I expressed gratitude that Allah savedme from embarrassment because Hazrat was not one wholived in this world. At all times he was intoxicated in thelove of Allah . Thus, how would Hazrat remember suchworldly matters. (It was due to maintaining the honour of myShaikh that I remembered and in turn reminded him.)On one occasion he said to me, “Hakeem Akhtar, as such, the path of Allah is a difficult one but if one puts one’s handsin the hands of a man of Allahit not only becomes easybut enjoyable as well.”The destinations have become easy for me to reach, even the wind has changed direction,After putting my hand in your hand even the lampson the path have become lit.On one occasion he mentioned, “When I went to Thana) got up from hisplace of sitting, moved a few steps forward and hugged meafter which he said:Bhawan, Hakeemul-Ummat Thanwi (“O Abdul Ghani, your coming is a sourceof limitless joy to me!”Hazrat (Hazrat () also mentioned, “I took some special butter for) from Phoulpoor made from the milk of my ownbuffalo which I used to feed chick peas, oil-cakes, etc. Theclarified butter had an excellent fragrance. When I presentedthis clarified butter, Hakeemul-Ummat, Mujaddidul-Millat,Hazrat Moulana Shah Ashraf Ali Saheb Thanwi () took13

THE ENJOYMENT OF ZIKRAND PLEASURE IN GIVING UP SINa whiff of it and said, “Khalifah Ijaz, put this butter away. I willeat it with hot kitchrie1 and will not give it to any one.” Itappears that the Ahlullah bring joy to the hearts of theirs friends.Otherwise, this idea could not have been kept in the heartwithout mentioning it at all. Yet, Hakeemul-Ummat, MoulanaThanwi () mentioned it and brought joy to MoulanaAbdul Ghani Saheb ().The act of worship performed by my beloved Shaikh, Shah AbdulGhani Saheb (), were all filled with love. I have never seenanyone else on the surface of this earth perform such lovingworship. It used to appear as if a hungry person is relishing adish of pilau or qormah. While making Tilawat2 of the Qur’aanhe used to actually lift himself off the ground due to the pleasurebeing experienced. At times, during the course of his Tilawat heused to loudly saywhich caused the very Masjid tovibrate. It was like the case of engine in which steam hasbuilt up tremendously due to which the driver allows thesteam to escape otherwise the engine is liable to blow up. Itappeared to me that if Hazrat () did not utter that slaganofhis very body would burst apart into pieces. What can I say besides draw a deep sigh on thinkingabout who my Murshid was O Akhtar,Eyes flowing with tears, slogans calling out to Himand a shirt collar that was rent apart in the throesof love for Allah Ta’ala.12A type of dish prepared with rice and daal.Recitation of Holy Qur’aan.14

THE ENJOYMENT OF ZIKRAND PLEASURE IN GIVING UP SINHazrat () would not rest and find peace of mind until hecompleted his Ma’mulat1. On one ocaasion Hazrat’s feverhad risen to a hundred and four degrees in spite of whichHazrat () did not leave out his daily recitals. He had amat laid out in the Mehrab, a pillow placed against the wall, sat down and completed his Wazifas. For ten long years Iwitnessed Hazrat () going from Phoulpoor to Sarai Mirbut not a single occasion did I see him look either left or rightat the shops he passed. He was all the time engaged in Tilawatof the Qur’aan, his gaze focussed in front of him. Whenever hecame across any dung dropped by the cows and buffaloes of the) would pinch his nose closefarmers in the area, Hazrat (with his fingers and stop his Tilawat. Thereafter he would say, there is fear of Kufr 2 in taking the name of Allah in the presenceof a foul odour. This has been written by Imam Muhammad(). Once the cart used to pass such foul odours he resumedhis Tilawat. This was a ten mile journey in total that he undertook daily. (Hazrat) Akhtar too used to sit with his Shaikh in astate of Wudhu3. This was the good fortune granted to (Hazrat)Akhtar. One day he suddenly said to me, “Hakeem Akhtar, when tears are shed while making Dua, undersatand that yourDua has been accepted. Tears are a receipt of acceptance.”My Hazrat (), my Shaikh wrote a letter to Hazrat Thanwi() in which he stated, “Hazrat, I am engaged in recitingand acting upon whatever you have prescribed. Throughthe blessings of your company, my faith and conviction havereached this level that while I am walking on this earth, itappears to me as if I am walking on the land of the hereafter. This world exists for me in name alone.”1The fixed round of daily recitals generally prescribedby one’s Shaikh.2Denying and rejecting the existence of Allah Ta’ala.3Special type of purification of the hands, mouth and feet withwater before performing Salah.15

THE ENJOYMENT OF ZIKRAND PLEASURE IN GIVING UP SINHere, a message of madness has reached theintoxicated souls,Ask about the world those who consider theworld to have some reality. We have accepted a wound on the heart whilelosing the spring of life,In exchange for a single rose, we have forsakenthe entire garden. The wide expanse of the garden was proud of itsblossoming beauty and fragrance,But no sooner did He arrive, He overshadowedthe entire garden. This is the work of lions, the work of men of Allah to be ableto trample underfoot all pleasures and enjoyment for the sakeof Allah . Coming back to the letter written by Shah Abdul). How did I know about this letter? I onceGhani Saheb (went to Sultanpur for some work and met there an elderly manby the name of Haji Abdul Wahid Saheb who was Bay’at toHazrat Hakeemul-Ummat (). He informed me, “I willinform you about your Shaikh over a matter which you willhear from me alone, besides me no one else was present.”Hazrat Hakeemul-Ummat said to me, “A letter has arrived16

THE ENJOYMENT OF ZIKRAND PLEASURE IN GIVING UP SINfrom Azamgarh in which it is stated by the person who wrote it.While I am on this earth, it appears to me as if I am walkingon the land of the hereafter.” Hazrat Hakeemul-Ummat thensaid, “This person is the Siddeeq1 of this time. He is amongstthe Auliya-e-Siddiqeen of this era.” Haji Abdul Wahid informedme, “This was the letter of your Shaikh Hazrat Moulana ShahAbdul Ghani Saheb.” Aah ! Such amazing conditions the menof Allahgo through while in this world.Thereward of mujahadahin giving up sinIt is due to bearing the pangs of sorrow based on giving upsins and tolerating the suffering due to Mujahadah that suchstations are attained. My Shaikh also said, “The sesame seedsare washed and thereafter polished to such an extent that theoil within can be seen through the layer of skin that remains. If one were to prick it with a pin, the oil will seep out. Theseseeds are now strewn among rose petals as a result of whichthe sesame seeds easily absorb the beautiful fragrance ofthe rose because they have been shined and polished, theyhave undergone Mujahadah. Now, all the fragrant effects of therose will enter these seeds. When these seeds will be pressed ina machine, it will become rose-oil because the effect of therose has transferred into the sesame seeds.”Similarly, if these sesame seeds were to be strewn amongstjasmine, then they would become jasmine-oil. Imagine, fromsesame seeds, rose-oil and jasmine-oil is being extracted.Whereas they are neither rose nor jasmine. Through excessivepolishing they have been made very sensitive as a result of whichthey now have the ability to absorb the beautiful fragranceof the rose and the jasmine. In other words, the ability to drawbenefit from the Shaikh has been developed in them. Similarly, those people who tolerate the sorrow experienced in avoiding1This is the highest category of the friendship of Allah Ta’alathat can be reached.17

THE ENJOYMENT OF ZIKRAND PLEASURE IN GIVING UP SINsins, who bear the pain in the heart so that they do notdisplease Allah by allowing Haraam1 pleasures to invadetheir hearts, develop such sensitive hearts which now have theability to take benefit from the Shaikh. One observes for examplethat the Shaikh has ten Mureeds2 but the level of Taqwa3 andtheir connection with Allah is not the same. Proportionate tothe level that each one has worked upon polishing and shininghis Nafs,4 he draws benefit from the Shaikh. People tend tosay, a certain Shaikh has a hundred Mureeds but each one’scondition is different. The basis of this difference is that thebenefit derived by each one is not the same. Each personreceives according to his own capacity. The effect of rain differson mountains, stony ground and on soft soil. The path ofbeloved ofbecoming theAllah ta’alaToday, I will inform you about two points:UOne who has been blessed with a Shaikh from AllahTa’ala who is Sahib-e-Nisbat 5 and has establisheda connection with him.USecondly, one who maintains the Zikr prescribedby the Shaikh along with which he resorts to somecourage like the lion or like a brave man, who gritshis teeth and makes the firm resolution not to resortto Haraam pleasures and thereby displease Allah. He will be prepared to bear the pleasure and painon the path of Allah.1That which is forbidden by Allah Ta’ala.A spiritual disciple who bears allegiance to a Shaikh and obeyhis teachings.3This is the spiritual station wherein the seeker develops the requiredfear of Allah Ta’ala which enables him to abstain from disobedienceof Allah Ta’ala.4The innerself which generally encourages one to disobey Allah Ta’ala.5One who has established a firm bond and link with Allah Ta’ala.218

THE ENJOYMENT OF ZIKRAND PLEASURE IN GIVING UP SINAllah is the Most Merciful of all who show mercy. Will He notlove one who bears such sorrow? If you have a heart in yourbosom, think for yourself. If someone comes to meet you, buton the way those who are jealous of you tear his clothes andbeat him up to such an extent that he is bleeding fromseveral wounds, and in spite of this, he displays courage andlove for you by saying,Immaterial whether my life is lost, I will witness thespectacle even if I have to force my way to the threshold. When he meets you, will you embrace him or not? He is tellingyou, “I have tolerated great difficulties on this road to meetyou, Your enemies beat me up as a result of which my clothesare torn and tattered, I have suffered these wounds and amstill bleeding due to them. In spite of these sufferings, I will notleave your side.” Tell me, if you have a heart in you bosom, will your heart not go out to such a person who has enduredall this in the name of your friendship? Will you not be kindand merciful towards such a person? If the creation will displaymercy and kindness, what about Allahwho is the MostMerciful of those who show mercy? He sees that His servantcontrols his gaze and tolerates the sorrow of having to liquidisesuch desires to blood. On all such occasions of desire whichhe realises to be the cause of his Lord and Master beingdispleased, he liquidises such desires as a result of which ariver of blood flows through his heart. Thereafter, it becomesimpossible for him to hide this. Even if the entire world wishesto hide and conceal this condition of his, Allahdoes notallow it to be hidden or concealed. One who bears the burnsof such sacrifice, such sorrow in the path of Allah , Allahcauses him to shine to the entire world. Allah causes hisspiritual fragrance to spread far and wide. Listen now to mycouplet explaining this condition:19

THE ENJOYMENT OF ZIKRAND PLEASURE IN GIVING UP SINHad it been but a single droplet, it couldhave been concealed,How will it ever be possible to conceal anentire river of blood? If a person abstains from a single evil glance whereby a singledrop of blood is shed by the heart, it could well be possibleto conceal. Yet, in the case of one who is engaged in doing thisnight and day on the path of Allah in order to please Him,who resorts to the courageousness of a lion, has within hisheart an absolute river of blood. Whether the world sees it ornot, Allah definitely does see at all times that, “This particularservant of Mine, by continuously bearing the brunt of sorrowon My path is constantly passing through a river of blood.” Insuch cases, will He who is the Most Merciful of all those whoshow mercy allow his blood shedding sacrifice to go to waste? If we as creation do not allow our friend’s blood to go to wastewithout congratulating him and issuing him a just reward aswell as making him our bosom friend of the higest calibre, then what about Allah Who is the Most Merciful of all thosewho show mercy? He too, will grant those who resort to suchsacrifices on His path the highest calibre of His friendship. Hewill not allow their sacrificial blood to go to waste. He will causethem to shine forth to the entire world because their heartshave been turned into Shami Kabab as a result of which theirspiritual fragrance will spread far and wide.20

THE ENJOYMENT OF ZIKRAND PLEASURE IN GIVING UP SINHad it been but a single droplet, it couldhave been concealed,How will it ever be possible to conceal anentire river of blood? These fragments of earth, these people who harbour envyand these lumps of clay cannot dam up the rivers of bloodwithin the hearts of the Ahlullah. The pleasure in giving up sinFriends! This life will not be granted a second time! Thispleasure and enjoyment, this pleasure of Mujahadah, thisenjoyment in sacrificing oneself for Allah , this delight inreducing one’s desires to blood, this exhilarating joy wherebythe river of Allah’s Mercy begins to flow will not be granted asecond time. On reducing one’s desires to blood, Allah’sriver of mercy begins to flow with great force. As a result of whichHe congratulates one and grants one the prize of sweetnessof Imaan.1 The person who safegaurds a single glance receivesa sweet of Imaan. Therefore, will one who protects himself froma hundred evil glances not receive a hundred sweets of Imaan? How large will his sweet shop be? Understand that each person’sshop of sweetness of Imaan is different to others. One personprotects a couple of gazes while another does not allow even asingle evil glance to be cast while saying with his heart:Whether my desires are turned to blood or myregrets are trampled underfoot,Now I have to make this heart worthy of You.1Firm faith.21

THE ENJOYMENT OF ZIKRAND PLEASURE IN GIVING UP SINBy Allah , let those friends who love (Hazrat) Akhtar andwho have trust that he is leading them to the correct and truepath realise that there is great sorrow felt when not castingevil glances. However, if this sorrow is tolerated, then Allahwill grant such sweetness and such closeness to Himselfthat, let alone remembering the beauties of the world, he willnot even think of the women of paradise. This is so becauseAllahis the Creator of the women of paradise and, afterall, such women are but a part of His creation. When Hebestows the enjoyment of His closeness, then know that thereis no enjoyment comparable to it in both the worlds, except forHis Didaar which will be granted only in

just rulers and acquire the shade of Allah’s Arsh?” On this point I had mentioned that if we establish just rulership over the five or six feet of our bodies, we too, will be counted among the just rulers, that is: A UNIQUE COMMENTARY OF A JUST RULER If we do not intentionally entertain evil
