All of which provideseven more shooting opportunities, whilemaintaining superior picture quality. With the DXC-D35P by your sideyou can be sure that all yourdigital video capture is simply perfect. The DXC-D35P SeriesThe DXC-D35P Series is made up of four products. The DXC-D35P are the powerful standard models,DXC-D35P CA-537P2DSR-135P (DXC-D35P DSR-1P)DXC-D35P PVV-3PDXC-D35P CA-511 DNV-5Pwhile the DXC-D35WSP have additional features for shooting in widescreen 16:9 as well as 4:3.3

Always captures that special occasionOptimised signal processing with10-bit A/D DSP LSIThe DXC-D35P includes the latestversion of the Sony 10-bit analogue-todigital (A/D) DSP camera technologythat delivers one of the best pictureperformances in the industry. While thesharpness of the picture has beenfurther improved because of theoptimised signal processing. TheDXC-D35P also incorporates innovativecamera features, such as TruEye andDynaLatitude .Natural colour reproduction withthe TruEye ProcessHue distortion is virtually eliminated bySony’s TruEye Digital Signal ProcessingTechnology. This is particularly beneficialin the extreme lighting conditions thatresult from conventional RGB analogueor digital processing. By processingvideo signal data at three levels –brightness, hue, and saturation – similarto how the human eye works, the TruEyeprocess assists in the reproduction ofnatural skin tones. The DXC-D35P incorporatesstate-of-the-art digital camera processing technologythat is designed to fully exploit the benefits of DSP(Digital Signal Processing).Contrast control withthe DynaLatitude FunctionDynaLatitude, a unique feature forcontrast control, minimises video leveldistortion. Based on video signalhistograms, the DynaLatitude functionaligns the contrast of each pixel toeliminate imbalances, such as theoverexposure of background images.High resolution with new Pre-amplifierand Encoding CircuitEven without using detail controlfunctions, the DXC-D35P deliversimages in high resolution. This ispossible thanks to a pre-amplifierprocessing and digital-to-analogueencoding are performed in a wide signalbandwidth range. This contributes to thehigh horizontal resolutions of 880 TVlines (DXC-D35P) and 850/800 TV lines(4:3/16:9 modes of DXC-D35WSP).Power HAD CCDThe DXC-D35P incorporates threePower HAD CCD sensors. Thesesensors feature a minimal smear levelequivalent to conventional FIT CCDs,which addresses the tough demands ofthe high-end production field. The totalperformance of the Power HAD CCDsensor approaches that of the standardFIT. High sensitivity, high signal-to-noiseratio, and a virtually invisible smear levelof -125 dB are achieved.4DXF-801VF LightEnhanced functions fordetail correctionBecause of Sony’s DSP technology, theDXC-D35P is able to offer the followingfunctions for detail correction: Skin Detail Correction to control skindetail simply by pressing the SKIN SETbutton Black Halo-Free, Clean Detail tomaintain image sharpness in areaswith extreme dark-to-light transitions Red Vertical Detail Correction toassure image sharpness of highlysaturated subjects Horizontal Detail Frequency ControlVariable Colour Temperature SettingIn addition to four built-in filters, theDXC-D35P has a function to adjust thecolour temperature by small steps. Whenthe filter is set to 3200 K, colourtemperature can be chosen using theviewfinder menu, from 19 steps in therange from 2200 K to 4300 K. Similarly,13 steps in the range from 4600 K to12000 K are provided when the filter isset to 5600 K. And the set colour can berecalled with the filter position, enabling‘artistic painting’, such as adding a“sunset-like” effect, can be easily performed without any special equipment.Hyper Gain (42 dB)Hyper Gain is a useful function thatallows shooting in the dark by boostingthe electric gain. With the DXC-D35P,the gain level of Hyper Gain can be setto a maximum of 42 dB using theviewfinder menu system. This allowsshooting in conditions as low as 0.25 lx.No special preparation is necessary, andsimply flipping the HYPER GAIN switchturns on this function.DynaFit Shoulder PadThe DXC-D35P is equipped with aDynaFit shoulder pad that moulds to anyshoulder without slipping to maintainexcellent balance. Eliminating the painfulpressure points common to hardershoulder pads.DXF-801 ViewfinderThe new DXF-801, a 1.5-inch black andwhite viewfinder, gives the DXC-D35Pthe following features: Automatic switching of scanning sizebetween 16:9 and 4:3 VF light (LED) to light up the iris ringarea of the lens for the operation indark situations (high/low/off) DISPLAY switch to turn off thecharacter superimposition on theviewfinder Vertical and horizontal detail levelcontrol by PEAKING potentiometer Tally lamp levels (high/low/off) Two red REC tally lamps TAKE tally lamp for ClipLink operation or for a second tally lampfor CCU operations Diecast aluminium body Wide range of diopter adjustmentsEnhanced ease of operationResponding to the increasing demandsfor more automatic functions inprofessional level cameras, theDXC-D35P boasts several new andimproved functions guaranteed todelight the most demanding cameraoperators: EZ Focus to make manual focusingeasier EZ Mode to set the camera to astandard position instantly Auto Tracing White Balance (ATW) toadjust white balance in real timeFile Operation for image creation Camera Set-up Files consisting of astandard file, five Factory Pre-set Files, and three user files SetupNavi Function to store theUser Files and Factory Pre-set Files tothe VAUX (Video Auxiliary) portion of aDVCAM tape File Management by PC via REMOTEconnector (10-pin, RS-232C)Convenient features Monitor Out (BNC connector) tocheck the image in the viewfinder witha connected external monitor Adjustable Black Stretch andCompress Dual Zebra two types of zebrapatterns Programmable Gain Clear Scan (CLS) Date & Time Superimposition Built-in 1 kHz Audio Reference Self Diagnostics5
