By programming this new remote to work with your othercomponents, you can extend the convenience ofyour 3 2 1 home entertainment system, for evengreater enjoyment.Before you begin programming or using theremote, you need to install the batteries. Forinstructions, refer to “Installing remote controlbatteries” on page 4.As soon as you install the batteries, you can usethis new remote to turn your 3 2 1 system onand off. By pressing any of the remote sourcebuttons, you can select the system source youwant to hear and turn the system on at the sametime.If your 3 2 1 system is set up as suggested inthe owner’s guide that came with the system,you can turn on the media center by simplypressing the Video 1 button on your remote.For instructions on preparing the remote for usewith other products, refer to “Programming theadvanced remote” on page 4.Information about products that generate electrical noiseIf applicable, this equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limitsfor a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC rules. Preparing for UseTo control the TVTurn on both the 3 2 1 system and your TV.2.Press and hold the Program and TV On/Offbuttons (shown on the left) for 3 seconds.The remote Source buttons will light tosignal that you have entered programmingmode.3.Use the number keys to enter your TV’sfour-digit setup code.4.Press Program once to complete programming. The remote will flash once to indicatesuccessful programming. To confirm that,use the remote to turn your TV on and off orchange channels.Step2Note: If your advanced remote flashes rapidlyseveral times during programming, an error hasoccurred.
