SUMMER 2021 UPDATEDear Audio-Reader Subscriber,After an unprecedented period of upheaval for all ourstaff and volunteers at Audio-Reader, we are excited tofinally be planning our return to our office and studioson the KU campus. Our plan is to begin on-siteoperations in mid-August.This will eventually mean that many volunteer readerswill again be able to read books, magazines andeventually live programs and daily newspapers for you.In the meantime, Summer sees some changes to ourbroadcast schedule to allow for new book broadcasts,replacing some publications that are no longerpublishing, and moving some programs to new spots.We would like to thank all our home reader volunteerswho have helped keep our service going by reading intheir homes during the pandemic.If you would like to show your appreciation for ourvolunteers, call (785) 864-4758 and leave a voicemailmessage. JULY 2021 PROGRAM CHANGESAs we navigate a return to on-site operations at AudioReader, some changes to the Program Schedule aretaking place.Book Club and History Book Hour will no longer bebroadcast. Those hours are another chance to hear theNon-Fiction Book Hour & Armchair Adventure Hour.Non-fiction Book Hour is now 7 days a week at 7PM,with a repeat broadcast at 4AM.Armchair Adventure Hour continues 7 days a week,with a repeat broadcast at 5AM.Mystery Hour continues daily at 11PM (no repeat).Saturday Morning: Old Time Radio will be replaced byReaders Digest / Saturday Evening Post at 7AMSaturday.Saturday Afternoon: Oprah Magazine is no longerpublishing. National Enquirer moves to the 3PM spot.Sunday Morning: Guideposts magazine moves to6AM, before Inspiration & Religion at 7AM5
