Will call Phoenix PD as required There is at least 1 roving officer on campus 24/7 Officers tasked to enforce parking regulations andsome building/campus rules, especially in regards toaccess Phoenix PD has a Liaison Officer assigned to ourCampus, Officer Matt Tate. Evacuation and AssemblyYou may be required to evacuate due to a fire,flood, chemical spill, natural disaster or someother similar event. In some circumstances youmay be directed to “shelter in place.”Evacuations are initiated via horns, strobes,voice commands or through a P.A .systemBe familiar with your evacuation routes andlocations of nearby fire extinguishers.Quickly grab your keys, purse, etc. and calmlyexit the building. Proceed to the assemblyarea. Do not leave the site until givenpermission to do so.

Building Monitors Are not allowed to go back in the building, are notallowed to search, canvass floors, etc. Do not require additional access privileges, keys, etc. Building monitors, from their work station, assist in anorderly evacuation and help with roll call in the assembly area. Building monitors may act as First Responder Liaisons, giving firstresponders information about the nature of the emergency, the building,unaccounted-for occupants, disabled occupants at areas of refuge, etc.

Reporting BehaviorReporting Campus ViolenceEmployees and students will report all incidents of workplace violence to the PoliceDepartment by dialing 9-1-1, to his or her immediate manager or supervisor, and toHuman Resources. The University will, to the extent possible, handle reports ofworkplace violence confidentially, except to the extent necessary to communicateto individuals who need to know pertinent information so that they may takeappropriate action. The University also may be required to report such incidents tocomply with state and federal laws and regulations.
