Drag the icon to theapplications tray.To remove an item from theapplications tray, drag the iconfrom the applications tray backto the Home Page.Adding or removing applicationsfrom the applications tray will notremove them from the Home Page.The applications tray is at thetop-center of the screen. Theapplications tray can have three tofive applications. When afunction is unavailable, the buttonmay gray-out. When a function isselected, the button may highlight.Proximity SensingThe infotainment system usesproximity sensing. When enabled,certain screen buttons and featureswill become visible when a handapproaches the screen. When thehand is removed, thesefeatures fade.Haptic FeedbackHaptic feedback is a pulse thatoccurs when a button is pressed onthe screen or when buttons belowthe screen are pressed.

To drag the item, it must beheld and moved along the screen tothe new location. When turned on, AudioPilotdetects noise and vehicle speed tocontinuously adjust the audio signalso that music will sound the same ata set volume level. This feature ismost effective at lower radio volumesettings where background noisecan affect how well the music isbeing played. See www.bose.com/audiopilot. This feature can beturned on or off. Press [ Back to goback to the previous menu.HD Radio Switching: For AM andFM only, press to turn HD receptionon or off. Press a screenbutton in the favorite area to recall afavorite station.Mixed-Audio FavoritesPress t or u to search for theprevious or next strongest station.Tuning a StationPress the SEEK screen button toswitch to TUNE. Press r or q tomanually search for a station. Pressagain to change back.Favorites that can be stored includeradio stations, navigation,or applications.

To close thefavorites, drag them down.Slide a finger to the right or leftto scroll through each page offavorites. A V indicates whichpage is being viewed.Tone Settings: Press and hold ascreen button to save the currenttone settings as a favorite. Press ascreen button in the favorite area torecall a favorite tone settings.Pandora Radio Stations: Pressand hold a screen button to storethe current station as a favorite.Press a screen button in the favoritearea to recall a favorite PandorastationThe number of favorites displayed isautomatically adjusted by default,but can be manually adjusted in theSettings menu under Radio andthen Manage Favorites.HD Radio TechnologyHD Radio Technology is a freeservice with features such asstatic-free sound, moreprogramming choices on local FMHD2, HD3, and higher, andon-screen information such as artistand song title.Channel AccessTo access HD Radio channels:1. Tune the radio to the channel.If the channel is broadcastingHD Radio Technology, the radiowill automatically switch to digitalaudio, indicated with anHD logo.2. Press SEEK t or u or TUNEq or r to tune to the previous ornext HD Radio channel.There may be a delay before thechannel starts playing.The HD Radio channel number isindicated next to the logo.13HD Radio channels can be savedas favorites. This time initiallyindicates the time of day at whichplayback is paused. This timecontinues to show as long as thesystem is in a paused mode and thebuffer continues to fill.Buffer ResetThe buffer will reset anytime thebroadcast band or stations/channelsare changed. Changing to a mediasource when the pause button ispressed or while pressing the LIVEbutton will not reset the buffer.The audio system can record liveradio for up to 25 minutes, Whentuned to a station, the systemautomatically begins recording theaudio along with the associatedmetadata.Rewinding or Fast Forwarding aTimeshifted Broadcast.Press and hold the rewindindicator to reverse playback ata rate of 15 times the rate ofnormal playback.Press and hold the fast forwardindicator to advance playback ata rate of 15 times the rate ofnormal playback. The timeshiftbuffer can be advanced up tothe end of the timeshift bufferand return to live mode.Returning to Live BroadcastIf listening to timeshifted radio,press the LIVE button to return tolive radio.Timeshifting and Station/ChannelListsIf browsing a station/channel list isstarted while listening to thetimeshift content, the list content isshown in live time not buffered time.Skipping Back in a BroadcastFor programs with metadata,pressing the previous button lessthan five seconds into a programwill make the system skip to thebeginning of the previous program.If more than five seconds into thecurrent song/program, the system

The default is the currentcity and state that the vehicle is in.Forecast InformationWeather Screen Not UnderGuidanceWhen in the weather application,press the Menu icon to display asplit map. The list displayed on theleft of the split map allows changesto the location.The Doppler map and forecastinformation displays a preview ofthe map for the location selected.The forecast information is for thecurrent weather or next availableforecast data.Press the EXIT screen button toreturn to the main weather map.The weather application uses thenavigation system to provide theappropriate information for theguidance route. When not underguidance, it defaults to the currentlocation.Doppler Map: The Doppler map isshown with the vehicle location inthe center of the map.The map can be panned toanother location. The forecastinformation is updated to thenew location.The city and state update toreflect the current location.Press the RESET screen buttonto reset the map back to thecurrent vehicle location.

The default is ON.ZOOM or ZOOM : Press tozoom the map in or out.RESET: Press to reset the mapback to its original location.SEARCH: Press to search for anew weather map location. Thelast destination screen displays.Press any button along thebottom of the InteractionSelector to help find a differentdestination. These are recent,voice, and city.Press Recent to display a list ofrecent locations that wererecently viewed for weather.Press g to activate voicerecognition. State a city andstate or ZIP code. Follow thevoice prompts to find the desireddestination.Press Cities to enter a city andstate or ZIP code.
