If at theend of the 90 day period the championship of a dog has not been confirmed by the American KennelClub, no further entries of the dog for Best of Breed competition are to be made until its championshiphas been confirmed by AKC. AWARDS OF MERITAt each specialty, the judge may, at his discreon, recall into the ring up to six dogs or bitches toreceive a Judge’s Award of Merit.NON-REGULAR CLASSES - INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIESSTUD DOG CLASS - For Stud Dogs and two (2) of their Get. It is not necessary that the Get be underthe same ownership as that of the Stud Dog. The Stud Dog may be entered separately in one of theregular classes or if a Champion of Record, in Best of Breed Competition, but must be entered in theStud Dog Class. The Get MUST be entered in one of the regular classes. The Stud Dog shall be considered as one entry and requires one entry fee. This being the regular fee plus the additional class feeif the stud dog is entered in another class. The Stud Dog must be shown in the ring with the Get. TheClass will be judged on the merits of the Get.BROOD BITCH CLASSES - Same as for Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog andProduce for Get.BRACE CLASS - This class shall be for two dogs of the same breed (A Unit) irrespective of sex, withone or more common owner. The Brace will be judged on consistency. Dogs entered in each BraceClass Unit must each also be entered in a Regular Class. Show Brace Class in “Additional Class” portion of the entry form. Please note the AKC registration number or registered name of the other dogmaking up the brace unit on each entry form. If more than one Brace is entered by identical owner, thedogs comprising EACH Brace Unit must be designated “Brace #1”, “Brace #2”, etc.BEST BRED BY EXHIBITORBest Bred by Exhibitor will be selected from the First Place Winners of the Dog & Bitch Bred by Exhibitor classes. All dogs entered in the Bred-by Class must be individually registered with the AKC. Theperson handling the dog must be a breeder of record of the dog and an owner of record of the dog.Family members must be both a breeder and owner of record to exhibit in the class. Any entry in theBred-by-Exhibitor classes that is awarded Best of Breed or Best of Winners would automatically beBest Bred-by-Exhibitor. Only the dog or bitch not defeated in Bred-by-Exhibitor are eligible for the BestBred-by- Exhibitor competiton.POINTS AVAILABLE FOR RESERVEThe Weimaraner Club of America will award at its National Specialty a three-point major to ReserveWinners Dog if the Regular Class Dog entry is twice the required number for a five-point major in thedivision where the National Specialty is held.The Weimaraner Club of America will award at its National Specialty a three-point major to ReserveWinners Bitch if the Regular Class Bitch entry is twice the required number for a five-point major in thedivision where the National Specialty is held.SWEEPSTAKESOpen to Dogs and Bitches 6 months and under 24 months of age on the day of the show. All entriesin the Sweepstakes must also be entered in a Regular Class at the Regular entry fee and on the sameentry form at this Specialty show. VETERAN SWEEPSTAKESVeteran Sweepstakes open to Weimaraners who on the day of the show will be at least 7 years of age.Dogs entered in Veteran Sweepstakes need not be entered in any other class. Juniors which according to their records have completed the requirements tocompete in the Open class but whose status is unconfirmed by the American Kennel Club are limitedto competing in the Open Class for a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the Juniorcompleted the requirements according to their records.MASTER CLASS: This class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years onthe day of the show, and who have 10 Best Junior wins with competition. The calendar for this classwill be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC National Championship. All Juniors meetingthe criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the dayof the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed allparticipants return to the Open Class to compete for the following year.NOTICE: Junior Handlers must include their AKC JUNIOR HANDLER NUMBER on each entry. You mayobtain your junior identification number by calling the AKC, Judges Education Department, (919) 2339767. All dogs/bitches entered in the Futurity must be entered in one of the regular or non-regularconformation classes of the Weimaraner Club of America National Specialty Show on Thursday, June14, 2018. A 30.00 entry fee is required to enter the Futurity after the dog/bitch has been properly entered in one of the regular or non-regular conformation classes. Indicate your dog’s Futurity Class onthe entry form in the space provided for Additional Classes. Notice: All entries must comply with therules governing the WCA’s Show Futurity and Maturity.
