WHAT ARE DRY-BREAKS?DRY-BREAK Systems are used in anyapplication where the accidental spillageof liquids must be avoided. Emco Wheatoninvented the term “DRY-BREAK” in the1950s and it has become recognized in theindustry as the leading brand of couplingsthat allow for spill-free disconnect of thetwo components. The two componentsare referred to as the “coupler” or “hoseunit” and the “adapter” or “tank unit”. Thecombination of Emco Wheaton and TODODRY-BREAK couplings gives the end user theworld’s greatest range of styles, materials,and working conditions.

WHAT DRY BREAKSOLUTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?DRY-BREAK Couplers & Adapters - EmcoWheatonEmco Wheaton Couplers and Adapters aredesigned for total safety in low-pressure,petroleum and light chemical applications.Fluid cannot flow until the Emco Wheatoncoupler has been locked into positionon an Emco Wheaton Adapter and thevalve opened. The coupler can only bedisconnected from the adapter when thevalve has been closed. Rated for a workingpressure of 85 psi (PN 6).DRY-BREAK TODO-GASTODO-GAS couplings are specificallydesigned for the safe transfer of LPG(typically Propane /Butane) in both liquidand vapour phases. The materials ofconstruction and component designare specified to recognise the uniqueproperties of LPG and terminal handlingcharacteristics. Working pressure of PN25 (363 psi).DRY-BREAK TODO-MATICThe first choice for the safe handling ofhazardous, valuable or environmentallysensitive media. Complementing theEmco Wheaton range, these products areavailable specifically for high pressureapplications. Working Pressure of PN10-25 (145 - 363 psi) Todo are pleased tooffer proven solutions for DEF/AdBluedeliveries to small containers, IBC totesand bulk storage tanks giving minimalresidual spillage upon disconnection.Aviation Couplings - TODO 45Used in commercial, offshore and militaryapplications, the TODO 45 aviation fueltransfer couplings are built to take thestrains of rapid fuelling activities in themost demanding of applications.
