The first Thursday of the month comprises of downtownand Tower District locations and the third Thursday is for metropolitanand outlying areas.The World Ag Expo is held at the International Agri-Center in Tulare,CA. It is the largest annual outdoor agricultural exposition with over1,450 exhibitors displaying the latest in farm equipment,communications, and technology and free seminars that focus on avariety of topics important to agriculture.With more than 30 floats, the parade goes through the Tower Districtwith music, dancing, and lots of beads.Celebration taking place in Chinatown, filled with food, kids activities,merchants, music, traditional Lion Dancers, Taiko Drummers, andmore.Presented in a fringe festival style format in the Tower District, theRogue Festival celebrates the independent performer. The festivalincludes theatre, dance, spoken-word, music, performance art,puppetry, and more.The FIRST Robotics Competition combines the excitement of sportwith the rigors of science and technology. Under strict rules, limitedtime and resources, teams of high school students are challenged toraise funds, design a team “brand,” hone teamwork skills, and buildindustrial –size robots to plat a difficult field game against likeminded competitors. This is a three-day competition.Festival in downtown Fresno with food, vendors, music, and drinks.Big Hat Days is the largest two-day festival in Central California wherevisitors fill the streets of Old Town Clovis to enjoy hundreds of craftand food booths.Vintage Days is Fresno State’s largest event. The festival is a threeday, student-planned campus and community celebration. The annualspring event combines social, cultural, and recreational activities intoan action pack extended weekend.With more than 500 cars on display dating from 1931 to 1972, theevent also features vendor booths, live music, raffle prizes and lots offun for the whole family.Annual conference for the San Joaquin Valley’s 15 billionmanufacturing industry.
