That said, FABA does not want its’ membersto be in violation of any state or county codes concerning signage.Two code references:Sec. 3-3. - Posting signs, placards, etc., along streets.It shall be unlawful for any person to post any notices, signs, placards or posters along the streets ofthe county, unless the same are placed on private property and not within the streets.(Code 1979, § 3-1)Sec. 3-4. - Posting advertisements on utility poles.It shall be unlawful for any person to affix any handbill, poster or advertisement of any descriptionto any electric power or other utility pole in the county, in any manner whatsoever.The various Stafford County sign ordinances are significant and complex. The limitations postedabove are but two restrictions imposed, but they are far from the only restrictions. A full evaluationof the remaining code will be required to determine whether any individual signs may be postedillegally.
