Leveraged X-integrator toImplement Oracle Xstorefor a Fashion RetailerATTENTION. ALWAYS.

THE CUSTOMEROur client is an American fashion retail chain specializing in popculture and music inspired clothing and merchandize. Their targetcustomers are the youth and different pop culture & musicenthusiasts. As a large scale retailer it was necessary to keep theirPOS systems updated to have a seamless integration of the businessand keep track of business objectives effectively.SCENARIOWhen the client came to us, they were using an old version of OracleMOM Suite V13.2.x and were facing challenges with on time delivery, seamless business integration between MOM and X store, andoperations cost. They required help in implementing the new version of OracleXStore. They needed partners who had in-depth knowledge of theirbusiness, with the right technical expertise to smoothly implementXstore and do customizations to the core features of Xstore.Aspire, an Oracle gold partner, with vast knowledge of implementingXstore and MOM for various industries has developed X- integrator tointegrate and implement Xstore for the client.

Areas of implementation:Employee Data Feed:The client was managing all its employees through Ultimate. An interface between Ultimate and Xstore was required so thatwhenever an employee would be created/updated, the sameinformation would be reflected across all stores. This wouldsave time and manual labour.2Custom RTLog Generator:The client required configuration/customization performed tomake RTLog file compatible for older version of ReSAapplication.3PLCC Transaction Extraction for Alliance:The client wanted all the PLCC data to be extracted inencrypted dat file from Xcenter Database and shared toexternal system (Alliance) and this process had to be executedon daily basis.4Foundation data interface to Xstore:All the foundation data from RMS V 13.2 to Xstore was to bepublished. Foundation data includes org hierarchy, merchhierarchy, item and supplier.5Pricing data interface to Xstore:All the simple promotion, complex promotion, clearance andprice change from RPM V 13.2 to Xstore was to be published.6Coupon data interface to Xstore:All the coupon data from RMS V 13.2 to Xstore was to bepublished.7Inventory data interface to X store:All the inventory buckets data from RMS V 13.2 to Xstore wasto be published.THE SOLUTIONMultiple interfaces werebuilt for the integrationrequirements betweenXstore and MOM, RMS,RPM, ReSA, Ultimate,Kronos and Avalara.Aspire’s integration solution X-integrator bridges the gap betweenthe older Oracle MOM module and the latest Xstore . This is ascalable, tailored solution based on the Oracle unified methodologythat is best suited for the retail business. This integration solutionplays a major role in different aspects of the implementation.Multiple interfaces were built for the integration requirementsbetween Xstore and MOM, RMS, RPM, ReSA, Ultimate, Kronos andAvalara (tax engine). Full and delta extract data was made availablefor all the Xstore inbound data.

BEST PRACTICESTHE BENEFITSAs the client was using different versions for Xstore 16.x andMOM 13.2.x solutions so we customized RTLog generator inway so that we were able to map transactions (RTLogs) fromXstore to ReSA.2It was built as easily scalable plug and play utilities.3Previously, with the existing Oracle POS solution the clientrequired employee data in jar file format. For the latest Xstore itwas required in mnt/dat file format, which we provided as asolution.4Previously RTLog generator was getting POSLog files for OraclePOS 13.x version. Current the source is Xstore 16.x versionwhich is a newer more effective version. The client had the following benefits by implementing X-integrator:The client avoided upgrade of MOM suite (which is notrequired for their business at this point of time).2This helped them to have seamless integration with latestversion of XStore and lower version of MOM Suite.3Enabled the client to run new POS and the legacy POS inparallel (till the roll out is complete) which made the transitionsmoother.4The current solution requires less maintenance effort anddelivers high performance thus saving time and cost.FUTURE IMPACTIn future if the client decides to upgrade to a new version of Xstorethe integration efforts will be minimal and contained. Standarddata format being in place, minimal testing will be required.

Inventory data interface to X store: Aspire’s integration solution X-integrator bridges the gap between the older Oracle MOM module and the latest Xstore . This is a scalable, tailored solution based on the Oracle unified methodology that is best suited for the retail business. This integration solution
