Our system is voice or text controlled cloud-based service accessible via implemented RESTful API. Thecore idea behind this system is the ability to learn new classifiers without the need of acquiring training data from the user. To thisend, we developed multiple methods aiming to maximize classification accuracy of the system. The system uses web search servicesto download data used for training the classifiers. We have experimentally evaluated the service and proved that our software iscapable of learning and creating new classifiers based upon the user entered keyword. Keywords: automatic learning, image classification, IBM Bluemix, IBM Watson1. INTRODUCTIONDeepQA Project of IBM addressed the problems ofanswering questions asked the computer in naturallanguage. Watson supercomputer [1] named after ThomasJ. Watson, the founder of IBM, is the result of the project.Watson is often referred to as the first cognitive systemand earned its fame by winning the Jeopardy! gameagainst two of the former champions. As of 2017 the nameWatson designates a scale of cognitive services based intheIBMBluemixOpenCloudArchitectureimplementation rather than a supercomputer [2]. Watsonis available as a set of open APIs and SaaS products.Developers can build applications by combining multipleAPIs. Among the offered services are natural languageprocessing and image classification. We have built asoftware based on these capabilities with the motivation toevaluate the potential of the cognitive services. Many factsand information published in this paper are based on thedocumentation published by the IBM company. Theservices we mention here refer to the services provided bythe IBM company as of June, 2016. Some of the serviceshave been discontinued since. The system we have implemented serves for imageclassification. The majority of the services for objectrecognition and image classification are based on deepconvolutional neural networks. Today, many architecturesare used but the pioneering work was done among othersby Fukushima on the Neocognitron [3] and by LeCun onthe LeNet networks [4]. More on the topic of deeplearning can be found in [5]. However, the developersunskilled in neural networks are usually not able to trainor fine tune such networks for their own purposes. TheVisual Recognition service provided through the WatsonDeveloper Cloud platform enables to train imageclassifiers. The user must provide positive and negativeexamples of the objects of interest. Compiling the trainingset is usually tedious and time consuming. Therefore wehave decided to implement a system that will learn torecognize new objects based just on the verbally enteredclass name. We have implemented methods for automatedclassifier production and created a system forISSN 1335-8243 (print) 2017 FEI TUKEdemonstration of the IBM Bluemix and IBM Watsoncapabilities.2. IBM BLUEMIX AND IBM WATSONIBM Bluemix [6] is a cloud offering based on IBM’sCloud Foundry project which is an open source platformas a service. It enables the developers to create, deployand manage applications on the cloud via the DevOpsservice. It was open to the public in 2014. Bluemixsupports several programming languages and enablesthree different ways to run a code. The code can beexecuted on Cloud Foundry infrastructure directly, in acontainer representing an environment providinge
