W he the r it’sprofessional or personal goals, it iscrucial for all of us to take time this monthto reflect on the challenges and obstacleswe have overcome as well as the vision andgoals we would like to set forth toaccomplish in the new year.In addition to assessing your year, takesome time to write down the achievementsyou are most proud of. Each year is filled with ups and downs andthrough all of life’s challenges it’s extremely important to staypositive, motivated, and celebrate your “WINS”. What’s Happeningin yourCity.What’s HappeningIn yourThe City Center Association will host itsfourth Ornament Stroll on Saturday,December 9th from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Guests willstroll and receive a different holiday ornamentfrom 26 participating merchants, whileenjoying Downtown Tracy’s festive holidayatmosphere. Only 300 tickets will be sold forthis event online through Event Brite.Community Notices:The City of Tracy is actively notifying local healthcare facilities of upcoming changes to its drinkingwater disinfection practices. Beginning December1st, 2017, Tracy's drinking water conveyancesystem will change from containing combinedchlorine (chloramines) to free available chlorine.This is a routine maintenance measure designed tokeep water mains clean and free of potentiallyharmful bacteria throughout the year. Please contact (209) 831-6302 orDave.Carter@ci.tracy.ca.us should you have any questions.The 11th Street Bridge has re-opened with two lanes of traffic on eachside. Construction activities on the bridge will continue in themonument areas, sidewalks, guardrails, and street paving. The project isexpected to be completed by the end of March 2018.Downtown.Join the Arts Education Program at the Grand Theatre as theyhost their annual Holiday Open House and Art Sale on December9th1 from 12PM-3PM and 5:30PM-8:30PM. The Grand will beoverflowing with holiday cheer, Santa photo opportunities anddiscounts will be offered on arts education classes.In order to reduce traffic congestion, the City of Tracy will beginreconfiguring the intersection of 11th Street and MacArthur Drive thisDecember. The project will add a dedicated lane for eastbound travelersalong 11th Street to turn right onto MacArthur Drive, and a lane will beadded for westbound travelers along 11th Street to turn left ontoMacArthur Drive.
