Testing Opportunities Two types of testing as outlined by CMS: Acknowledgement (front-end) End-to-End Acknowledgement Testing Registration is not required Test any time prior to October 1 No minimum or maximum number of claims required Ensure the claims are “clean” claimso Current dates of serviceo Valid ICD-10 codeso Include “T” in the ISA-15 field to identify it as a test claim19

ICD-10 Fun Fact ICD-10 will expand the code sets to over150,000 codes but did you know that mostpractices will only utilize a fraction of thecodes for a majority of their billing?20

CMN and DIF Form Revisions Minor changes “ICD-9 Diagnosis” removed and replaced with “DiagnosisCode” “HCPCS code” removed and replaced with “SupplyItem/Procedure Code” Required on or after October 1, 2015 For initial, recertification or revised CMNs and DIFs Not required when changing diagnosis from ICD-9to ICD-10 Available at -Forms-List.html22
