RegistrationIn your first week at LSE, please makesure that you formally register foryour degree programme (read thesewebpages for full guidance onregistration). It is essential that youregister at the specified time, as youwill not be able to receive teachinguntil you are a registered student andyour course choices may be limited ifyou are unable to select your coursesas a result of registering late. Atregistration you will be asked toprovide proof of your eligibility tostudy in the UK in order to receiveyour student ID card.Arriving LateIf you are unable to make yourallocated Registration slot, please seeLate arrivals for advice on catching upquickly.Certificate of RegistrationA certificate of registration providesproof to organisations, such as theHome Office, council tax offices andbanks, that you are registered as acurrent student at LSE.Once you are formally registered withthe School you will be able to printout your certificate via LSE for You.The ‘Certificate of Registration’option can be found in the‘Certification and Documentation’section of LSE for You.Please be aware it can take up to 4hours for your change in RegistrationStatus to be picked up by LSE for Youso you may have to wait a short timeif you’ve just registered.If you require this certificate to besigned and stamped, staff at theStudent Services Centre will be happyto do this for you. Useyour LSE network username andpassword to login via lse.ac.uk/lseforyou.MoodleMoodle is LSE's Virtual LearningEnvironment (VLE). It is a passwordprotected web environment thatcontains a range of teachingresources, activities, assignments,information and discussions for yourcourse. The content of Moodle is theresponsibility of your teacher and soit will vary from course to course (notall teachers choose to use Moodle).You can access Moodle from anycomputer connected to the internet,on or off campus.Go to moodle.lse.ac.uk/ and use yourLSE user name and password to login. This page also has links to helpand advise on using Moodle. You willalso find links to Moodle from anumber of web pages, including thewebpage for 'Staff & Students'. However,you will only be able to access the‘Graduate Course Choice’ option inLSE for You when your admissionspaperwork is completed. You mustregister for your course choices (forboth Michaelmas and Lent terms) viaLSE For You by 12:00 noon Monday 9October 2017.Many courses have ‘controlledaccess’ and you will need to apply tothe department teaching the coursefor permission to take it before youcan select it.
