8Moving and Lifting the MonitorENGLISHWhen moving or lifting the monitor, follow these instructionsto prevent the monitor from being scratched or damaged andto ensure safe transportation regardless of its shape or size.CAUTIONAs far as possible, avoid touching the monitor screen.yyThis may result in damage to the screen or some ofthe pixels used to create images.It is advisable to place the monitor in the original boxyyor packing material before attempting to move it.Before moving or lifting the monitor, disconnect theyypower cord and all cables.Hold the top and bottom of the monitor frame firmly.yyDo not hold the panel itself.When holding the monitor, the screen should faceyyaway from you to prevent it being scratched.When moving the monitor, avoid any strong shock oryyvibrations to the product.When moving the monitor, keep it upright, never turnyythe monitor on its side or tilt it sideways.If you use the monitor panel without the stand base,yyits joystick button may cause the monitor to becomeunstable and fall, resulting in damage to the monitoror human injury. In addition, this may cause the joystickbutton to malfunction.

12ENGLISHAdjusting the angleAdjusting the Stand Height1 Place the monitor in an upright position, mounted on the1 Handle the monitor with both hands for safety.stand base.2 Adjust the angle of the screen. 13Pivot Feature3 Rotate the monitor clockwise as shown in the figure.HeadStand4 Complete the installation by rotating the monitor 90 asshown below.WarningTo avoid scratching the stand base, make sure thatyywhen rotating the monitor using the pivot feature, thestand does not make contact with the monitor.1 Raise the monitor to the maximum height.NOTE2 Adjust the angle of the monitor in the direction of the arrow as shown in the figure.yy Auto Pivot feature of the display is not supported.yy The screen can be rotated easily using the screen pivotshortcut key provided with your Windows operatingsystem. 14WarningENGLISHTake care when rotating the monitor if the cable isyyconnected.To avoid injury when rotating the display, do not placeyyyour fingers between the display and the stand base.Detaching the Stand Body1 Place the monitor’s screen face down. To protect thescreen from scratches, cover the surface with a softcloth.2 Remove the stand from the monitor by pressing the button on the bottom center of the back of the monitor.Using the Kensington lockThe Kensington security system connector is located at theback of the Monitor set.For more information on installation and usage, refer to theKensington lock user manual or visit the website at http://www.kensington.com.Connect the Kensington security system cable between theMonitor set and a table.Installing the wall mount plateThis monitor supports the specification of the standard wallmount plate or compatible device.1 Place the screen face down. To protect the screen fromscratches, cover the surface with a soft cloth.2 Place the wall mount plate onto the monitor and align itwith the screw holes.3 Tighten the four screws to fix the plate to the monitorusing a screwdriver.NOTENOTEUse of the Kensington lock is optional. Theyyaccessories can be purchased at your local electronicsstore.The wall mount plate is sold separately.yyFor more information on installation, refer to the wallyymount plate's installation guide.Be careful not to use excessive force when mountingyythe wall mount plate, as this can damage the monitor'sscreen.

15Wall Mount (A x B)yyInstalling to a wall10 cm10 cm10 cm10 cmTo install the monitor to a wall, attach a wall mounting bracket(optional) to the back of the monitor.Make sure that the wall mounting bracket is securely fixed tothe monitor and to the wall.1 If you use screw longer than standard, the monitor mightbe damaged internally.2 If you use improper screw, the product might be damagedand drop from mounted position.In this case, LG Electronics is not responsible for it.Wall Mount (A x B)Standard screwNumber of screwsWall Mount Plate(Optional)ABENGLISHInstall the monitor at least 10 cm away from the wall andleave about 10 cm of space at each side of the monitor toensure sufficient ventilation. Please use the genuine LG wallmounting bracket. 16USING THE MONITORENGLISHConnecting to a PCThis monitor supports the *Plug and Play feature.yy*Plug and Play: A feature that allows you to add adevice to your computer without having to reconfigureanything or install any manual drivers.DisplayPort connectionTransmits the digital video and audio signals from your PCto the monitor. Connect your PC to the monitor using thedisplay port cable as illustrated below.Press the menu button and then select the input option fromthe input menu.HDMI connectionTransmits the digital video and audio signals from your PCand A/V devices to the monitor.
