This avoids putting unnecessary pressure on the screen.Only remove the tape and the locking pinyywhen the monitor is mounted on the standbase and is in an upright position. Otherwise,the stand body may protrude, which maylead to injury.

8ASSEMBLING AND PREPARING21ENGLISHENG2Connect the Power cord to the monitor, thenplug the power cord into the wall outlet.(Before connect please check the “ON/OFF”knob in “O” state).Press the “ON/OFF” knob in “ ” state(Open the power).WARNINGTo avoid injury to the fingers when adjustingyythe screen, do not hold the lower part of themonitor's frame as illustrated below.Be careful not to touch or press the screenyyarea when adjusting the angle of the monitor.3 Press the(Power) button on the front of themonitor to turn on the monitor.CAUTIONUnplug the power cord prior to moving oryyinstalling the monitor. There is risk of electricshock.Adjusting the angle1 Place the monitor mounted on the stand basein an upright position.2 Adjust the angle of the screen. The angle ofthe screen can be adjusted up to 5 forwardsand 35 backwards for a comfortable viewingexperience.Rear SideFront Side

Please be cautious and avoidcontact between the monitor head and theStand Base when rotating the screen to accessthe Pivot function. If the monitor head touchesthe Stand Base, then the Stand Base couldcrack.HeadsectionStandsection3 Be careful with the cables when rotating thescreen.

Otherwiseelectric shock may occur.If you install the Monitor set on a ceiling oryyslanted wall, it may fall and result in severeinjury.Use only an authorized LG wall mountyyand contact the local dealer or qualifiedpersonnel.Do not over tighten the screws as this mayyycause damage to the Monitor set and voidyour warranty.Use only screws and wall mounts thatyymeet the VESA standard. Any damagesor injuries by misuse or using an improperaccessory are not covered by the warranty.Screw length from outer surface of backyycover should be under 8mm.If you intend to mount the Monitor set to a wall,attach Wall mounting interface (optional parts) tothe back of the set.When you install the Monitor set using a wallmounting interface (optional parts), attach itcarefully so it will not drop.1 Please, Use the screw and wall mount interfacein accordance with VESA Standards.Wall mount Pad2 If you use screw longer than standard, theStandard screwBack CoverWall mount PadBack Covermonitor might be damaged internally.3 If you use improper screw, the product might bedamaged and drop from mounted position. 12USING THE MONITOR SETUSING THE MONITOR SETENGLISHENGConnecting to a PCYour Monitor set supports Plug & Play*.yy*Plug & Play: A PC recognizes a connecteddevice that users connect to a PC and turnon, without device configuration or userintervention.D-SUB connectionTransmits analog video from your PC to theMonitor set. Connect the PC and the Monitor setwith the supplied D-sub 15 pin signal cable asshown in the following illustrations.NOTEWhen using a D-Sub signal input cableyyconnector for MacintoshMac adapteryyFor Apple Macintosh use, a separate plugadapter is needed to change the 15 pinhigh density (3 row) D-SUB VGA connectoron the supplied cable to a 15 pin 2 rowconnector.DVI-D connectionTransmits a digital video signal from your PC tothe Monitor set. Connect the PC and the Monitorset with a DVI cable as shown in the followingillustrations.

USING THE MONITOR SETNOTESelf Image Setting FunctionPress the power button on the bottom panel toturn the power on. When monitor power is turnedon, the "Self Image Setting" Function is executedautomatically. (Only supported in Analog Mode)CAUTIONConnect the signalyyinput cable and tightenit by turning the screwsclockwise.Do not press the screenyywith your finger for a long time as this mayresult in temporary distortion on the screen.Avoid displaying a fixed image on theyyscreen for a long period of time to preventimage burn. Use a screensaver if possible.NOTE"Self Image Setting" Function.yyThis function provides the user with optimaldisplay settings.When the user connectsthe monitor for the first time, this functionautomatically adjusts the display to optimalsettings for individual input signals.(Onlysupported in Analog Mode)‘AUTO’ Function.yyWhen you encounter problems such asblurry screen, blurred letters, screen flickeror tilted screen while using the device orafter changing screen resolution, press theAUTO function button to improve resolution.(Only supported in Analog Mode)ENGENGLISHIf you use DP, it can cause compatibilityyyproblem.When you want to use two PC in our Monitor,yyplease connect the signal cable(D-SUB/DVI-D/DP) respectively in Monitor set.If you turn the Monitor set on while it is cold,yythe screen may flicker. This is normal.Some red, green, or blue spots may appearyyon the screen. This is normal.13

ThenOSD of “OSD Lock” will appear. After that, user can selectlock or unlock by pressing left/right button.If user selects the “Lock” icon by pressing the “OK” button,the message “OSD Locked” will appear. Otherwise, “OSDUnlocked” will appear. After selecting the “Lock”, If you wantto change to Unlock, you can push the “MENU” button forseveral seconds. The message “OSD Unlocked” will appear.Use this button to enter Reader Mode menu. Its function works to display screen aspaper-like picture for Eye comfort.If you want to more information.(See p.21)Use this button to enter SMART ENERGY SAVING menu.(See p.22)When adjusting your display settings, always press the AUTO button on the MONITORSETUP OSD.
