TheCompany is engaged in the business of ground handling services and other business activities that support theaviation business at the airport.Pada awalnya maskapai penerbangan Garuda Indonesiamelaksanakan ground handling sendiri, namun mengingatkebutuhan layanan profesional dan tuntutan hasil kerja yangoptimal tanpa mengabaikan unsur keamanan, keselamatan,kehandalan dan ketepatan waktu, maka Garuda menyerahkankegiatan ground handling ke pihak lain agar dapatberkonsentrasi pada operasional pesawat udara. Dari sinilahasal mula pendirian PT Gapura Angkasa.Per tanggal 9 Desember 2014 struktur kepemilikan sahamGapura Angkasa adalah Garuda Indonesia (58,75%), AngkasaPura II (31,25%) dan Angkasa Pura II (10%).Garuda initially carried out ground handling by themselvesHowever, given the need for professional services anddemands for optimum results without neglecting security,safety, reliability, and timeliness, Garuda decided to handoverground handling activities to other parties so as to focus onairline operations.
