The use of products licensed to institutionsat Academic License pricing is restricted to on-campus computingfacilities that are used solely in support of classroom instructionand research activities of students, faculty, and staff.Institutions cannot use the products for commercial purposes.Research and development divisions and centers of universities,government agencies, and other not-for-profit organizations do notqualify for Academic License pricing. MathWorks offers reducedprices to degree-granting educational institutions as a service andasks your help in ensuring that the practice is not abused.LICENSING OPTIONSIndividual: The Individual license is intended for use by a singlenamed user or on a single computer. It offers a choice betweentwo activation types: Standalone Named User and DesignatedComputer.Group: The Group license is intended for locations where anadministrator manages a group of Individual licenses with theDesignated Computer activation type.
