Before installingthis product, please read important notice, disclosure, and warrantystipulation printed on the back of the box.Before you start using this product, please follow these basic guidelines:Carefully read the manual before beginning with theinstallation process!Remove your motherboard from the chassis for the safestmounting process and to prevent damaging your CPU and/ormotherboard’s circuit board (PCB).EK Fittings require only a small amount of force to screwthem firmly in place since the liquid seal is ensured with therubber O-ring gaskets.The use of quality market-proven corrosion-inhibitingcoolants is always strongly recommended for any liquidcooling system.Do not use pure distilled water as a cooling liquid! For bestresults, EK recommends the use of EK-CryoFuel Coolants.If you run the product with unauthorised software thewarranty is voided.

The liquid cooling solutionrequires connection to a USB port in the motherboard. Use thesupplied cable to connect the micro USB port in the cooler to thefront panel (FP-USB) connector in the mother board.Note that different motherboards will have a single or multiple frontpanel USB connectors. Any available front panel USB connector willwork. If you only have one port or all ports are being used, you willneed to find an available port. It can also be connected to any regularUSB port available using a USB-A to micro USB cable.Chassis CapabilitiesThe solution is designed to fit into an ATX chassis. Make sure thechassis that you use has space for the entire liquid cooling solution(pump radiator), not just the heatsink block.

PREPARING THE MOTHERBOARDSTEP 1aPrepare the zip bag containing the CPU mounting mechanism andscrews. Find a self-adhesive EPDM sticker and stick it to the back ofthe CPU latch mechanism so it covers the central opening. The stickermust be present to seal the liquid cooling solution.Small BackplateStickerSTEP 1aSTEP 1b - optionalIn unregulated mode of the EK-QuantumX Delta TEC, the backplateof the CPU can reach temperatures below ambient, which can leadto condensation on the backplate. Therefore, this insulation is highlyrecommended when the system works in unregulated mode.Big BackplateStickerSTEP 1bSTEP 2In unregulated mode of the EK-QuantumX Delta TEC, the backplateof the CPU can reach temperatures below ambient, which can leadto condensation on the backplate. Therefore, this insulation is highlyrecommended when the system works in unregulated mode.This step must be done no matter which EPDM sticker was chosenin the previous step.STEP 2-7-

STEP 3LGA-115xScrewM4 PVCWasherInstall the four (4) supplied LGA-115x specific thumb screws intofour (4) M4 threaded holes of the already-installed backplate. It’smandatory to place an M4 PVC washer underneath each M4 thumbscrew. Tighten the screws to the backplate until you reach the end ofthe thread. Using tools (e.g., pliers) is not recommended.Do not overtighten the screws.STEP 3APPLYING THERMAL COMPOUNDNon-abrasiveclothIHSWipe off the remains of the original thermal compound using anonabrasive cloth or Q-tip, as shown in the sample image.Apply the enclosed EK-TIM Ectotherm thermal grease (thermalcompound) on the CPU heat spreader – IHS – as shown in theimage. INSTALLATION OF THE CONTROLLER BOX TO THE WATER BLOCK (OPTIONAL)You can install the controller box somewhere else in the chassis.Please make sure that the cables for TEC plate and temperaturesensor are long enough to allow to do so. EK recommends yousecure the Controller box to the water block, as shown in thefollowing Steps.STEP 1Prepare the water block and remove the two (2) round-headed blackscrews – M4 ISO 7380.Screw M4 ISO 7380STEP 1STEP 2Prepare the Controller box and align the side holes with M4 threadedholes in water block top. Secure them using the screws which wereremoved in step 1.STEP 2-9-

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONSSTEP 1Thermal sensorTo enable the functioning of the cooling solution, please take the twocables from the water block and connect them to connectors on theController box:- Thermal sensor - 2-pin smaller white connector- TEC plate power supply - 2-pin black connectorThe connectors can be inserted in one orientation only!TEC Plate connectorMake sure not to use excessive force. It may cause permanent damage!CABLING AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONSThe liquid cooling solution includes a condensation controller thatrequires the following connections: 12V ATX power (using a 1x PCIe 8-pin GPU power cable directlyfrom the power supply) 2-pin connector between the water block and the controller(factory connected) 2-pin sensor connector (factory connected) USB connection (the cooler has a micro USB port that needs tobe connected to the motherboard’s internal USB header or to anavailable USB port. The USB cable is includedSTEP 1- 10 -

INSTALLATION OF COOLING SOLUTION TO THE MOTHERBOARDSTEP 1Carefully align your EK-QuantumX Delta TEC water block overpre-installed mounting mechanism with the already installedCPU. Be careful not to remove the pre-installed rubber insertsfrom the water block mounting holes.CAUTION: The protective sticker must be removed from thecold plate.IMPORTANT:Make sure the protrusion on the insulation guard is aligned with thesocket load lever. Not doing so may result in operation malfunctionsor even hardware damage.Pay attention to the shape of insulation – it shouldn’t be twisted orcrooked when installed.STEP 1- 11 -

Thumb ScrewSpringSTEP 2Place the enclosed compression springs and thumb nuts over each M4thumb screw. Start fastening two thumb nuts at a time, preferably in across pattern, and do not tighten them fully until all of them are partiallyscrewed in. Then - using your fingers only - screw in all four thumb nutsuntil you reach the end of the thread.STEP 2STEP 3Tighten the fittings in a clockwise direction until the O-ring gasketunderneath is compressed.Fitting BarbYou can use all types of EK fittings as long as they have G1/4 malethread.STEP 3- 12 -

TESTING OF THE LOOPPower supply ATX CableEK-ATXBridging PlugTo make sure the installation of EK components was successful,we recommend you perform a 24-hour leak test. When your loop iscomplete and filled with coolant, connect the pump to a PSU outsideof your system. Do not connect power to any of the other components.RECOMMENDED FILLING AND LEAKTESTING PROCEDURESTEP 1STEP 1Pump Testing AdapterSATA POWER HeaderIt is mandatory to do the following:1. Disconnect all PSU power connectors (4/8-pin ESP, 24-pin ATX,PCI-express power, SATA power) in your computer.2. Plug the EK-ATX Bridging plug (enclosed) to your 24-pin ATX PSUcable which allows jump starting your computer.3. Connect the EK-Cable Pump Testing Adapter’s SATA power headerto your vacant SATA power connector on your PSU (see pictureunder STEP2 for explanation)This procedure requires only the pump to be connected to the powersupply (PSU). Everything else needs to be disconnected!STEP 2Plug the EK-ATX Bridging plug (enclosed) to your 24-pin ATX PSU cableto jump start your computer. Connect the PSU SATA power connectorto the female SATA power header from the pump testing adapter.Power Supply SATA CableSTEP 2- 13 -

STEP 3Pump TestingAdapter Fan HeaderPump Power CableSTEP 3It is mandatory to do the following:1. Unplug the pump 4-pin PWM connector from the motherboard FANheader (if already installed).2. Plug the pump 4-pin PWM connector into the male 3-pin FAN connectoron enclosed EK-Cable Pump Testing Adapter (see picture under STEP3for explanation).Your system is now ready to be charged for the first time. Inspect all parts ofthe loop, and in case the coolant leaks, fix the issue and repeat the testingprocess. To prevent possible damage, ensure that all hardware is dry beforethe system is powered on.CONNECTING THE TEC PLATE ELECTRONICSPlug the 8-pin PCIe connector from the power supply to theconnector of the EK-QuantumX Delta TEC CPU water blockcontroller unit.The installation of the CPU water block is now complete.- 14 -

ESTABLISHING CONNECTION BETWEEN WATER BLOCK AND MOTHERBOARDWhen the water block with the controller is installed on yourmotherboard, the communication connection also must beestablished. Use the USB-A to micro USB cable, which is includedin the package. Connect the micro USB to the top of the waterblock, as shown in the picture.Make sure that you connect 5-pin connector to motherbord in a waythat on the left is red wire.- 15 -

SOFTWARE INSTALLATIONBoot the system with the cooler connected – you should see a redsolid LED light coming from the cooler.After booting the system, you will see that Windows will recognize anew USB device. Please check the device manager to check that youhave the following device installed.If the device has a yellow bang (warning) showing that the driver isnot installed, please click on Update Driver and Windows 10 will tryto retrieve the USB driver and install itIf that doesn’t work please install the driver from the following link: P210xUniversal Windows Driver.zipNote: if you don’t see the device in Device Manager please see thetroubleshooting sectionPlease download the latest version of the software from the linkbelow and run the installer tel-CryoCooling-Technology Download Intel Cryo Cooling Technology software- 16 -

FUNCTIONAL TESTING AND VERIFICATIONIf the software was installed properly you should see a yellow iconin the windows notification tray (see the image below). The modeshould be “standby”.Please check the troubleshooting section if it is not present.Click on the notification tray and select the “Cryo” mode – the iconshould turn to green and there should be a green LED slow blinkingon the cooler.WARNING!Given that the CPU is cooled by the EK-QuantumX Delta TECdirectly to achieve low temperatures, the rest of your liquidcooling loop will be under stress from the TEC plate. Do notuse your CPU temperatures as a baseline for your Fan orPump speeds! It is best to monitor the coolant temperatureor set the fans and pump at a fixed speed level!- 17 -
