Shakespeare not onlyknew what Lysander was in for but he showed us what we might comeup against when faced with the fact that as long as there has beentrue love, there have been seemingly insurmountable difficulties tochallenge it. Lovers are forced to deal with differences in backgroundor age and difficulties caused by friends or unexpected outside forcesthey cannot control. Puck reminds us that love makes fools of us all;whether blinded by beauty, power or talent, we will survive and be thebetter for it. Lovers must persevere, overcoming every obstacle thatfate throws in their path—the reward, a passionate paradise. So let usjourney out of Athens and into the magic of the forest, where anythingis possible, a place where love can bloom as well as the flowers. Enjoya little magic in the night.Special ThanksEllen FleuryFor sticking with usDana FreedFor sticking aroundAct 2 Scene 2Another part of the wood.Ken GilbertFor sticking it outAct 3 Scene 1The Wood.
