Translated versions are not published instantly; the English version is always up-to-date.2.3 VersionsThe table below lists the firmware versions which are used in the BVMS system test.Device CompatibilityUp until some years ago, new released cameras, encoders, domes and decoders that are introduced into marketafter a BVMS release could not be connected to an existing BVMS version because these cameras where notknown to the BVMS. In the BVMS 4.5.1, a new concept was introduced. This concept treats Bosch videoencoders and decoders as generic devices, and automatically recognizes specific device functionality (forexample the number of streams, relays and inputs). Based on this information the, at that time, unknown deviceis added to the system and can be used by the operator. This document, which can be found in the BoschBuilding Technologies community, provides a detailed description of this functionality: BVMS - Devicecompatibility.ComponentVersionBosch Video Stitcher1.6.0.63VideoSDK6.33.0138Firmware MPEG-44.15.0002Firmware CPP35.74.0010, 5.75.0011Firmware CPP47.10.0076Firmware CPP56.30.0059, 6.31.0010Firmware CPP67.10.0074, 7.50.0079Copyright Robert Bosch GmbH. BVMS - Release notes11 of 82IDSubjectDescription243056SecurityWhen adding a new decoder to BVMS, the "secure connection" is not enabled bydefault. Cameras are added by default with the "secure connection" enabled, whichcauses issues displaying cameras on decoders. Workaround: deselect "secureconnection" for the cameras which need to be displayed on decoders or select the"secure connection" for the decoder.242209DIVAR IPThe transcoding service is removed from the DIVAR IP AiO 5000 after upgrading thedevice to BVMS 10.0. Workaround: manually install the transcoding service (which ispart of the VRM installation package, located in the urityCamera firmware 7.5x or newer does not support the use of the " " in passwords. Work-around: use unicast audiostreams.239841VSGRecording packets might be dropped when VSG is writing to a multi-path enabled iSCSItarget and the patch is switch-over.239682SecurityIn order to prevent recording losses: when a camera is set to encrypted recording it willfill up its current block with unencrypted recording. Encrypted recording will start inthe next block.239102VSGVSG 7.0.2 cannot use large LUNs.231028SecurityAdditional data is retrieved using VRM Playback, even when direct iSCSI playback isconfigured.239593BISWhen Operator Client and Management Server are installed on one single system theBIS communication might not work properly. Workaround: ensure that, on theManagement Server, the "IsServerMode" setting in the xy.settings.cxml is set to 1.237509SecurityEncoder playback and ANR is not working when the video is stored encrypted. BVMS - Release notes13 of 82IDSubjectDescription224413WindowsAfter de-activating the "Set time automatically" flag in the Windows (10) time settings, the BVMS time synchronization mechanism stops working and the time within thesystem (including the connected cameras) might start drifting.233738SecurityBVMS is able to lock-out an account after a configurable amount of failed passwordentries. This functionality is not enabled by default for the default "Admin" account. For security reasons Bosch strongly recommends enabling this option for the usergroup "Admin Group", changing the name of the "Admin" user-account, and adding asecond user-account to the user-group "Admin Group". This minimizes the chance thatthe system administrator is fully locked-out of the system.230526Operator ClientThe Operator Client start-up process was adjusted. Please use theOperator.Supervisor.exe to start the operator client. This might also impact a BVMS10.0 system connected to an older BIS version: the operator client might not beautomatically started.231675VRMA fail-over VRM can no longer be added via scan if the Master VRM is already passwordprotected and the fail-over VRM does not yet have a password set.
