Introducing . New ProductDifferential Pressure Sensors (DPS)Walker Products Differential Pressure Sensors (DPS) measures the pressure difference between exhaust gas in theinlet and outlet of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). The sensing element of the DPS is piezo resistive where the sensorchanges its electrical resistance based upon the mechanical deformation of the internal membrane. Walker ProductsDPS’s are designed to meet or exceed OE specifications. Our sensors have been tested for cyclic operation at highand low pressure in extreme conditions, vibration and shock resistance, humidity and temperature endurance, as wellas thermal shock. Each DPS is also tested for leakage and voltage performance. In some cases, failure to replace adefective DPS can result in: unnecessary filter regenerations, power loss, reduction in filter life, increased pollutionlevels, or an increase in oil consumption.
