Initial Drive InformationLock and unlock feedback can be personalized.This section provides a brief overview about some ofthe important features that may or may not be on yourspecific vehicle.Press and holdL and release to locate the vehicle.Press and hold L for three seconds to sound the panicPressFor more detailed information, refer to each of thefeatures which can be found later in this owner manual.Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Systemalarm.PressL again to cancel the panic alarm.Press the button (A) to remove the key. The key can beused for all locks.The keyless access transmitter is used to lock andunlock the doors from up to 60 m (195 feet) away fromthe vehicle.See Keys on page 3‑3 and Keyless Access SystemOperation on page 3‑5.Press K to unlock thedriver door. Press againwithin five seconds tounlock all remainingdoors.PressV to open the trunk.Remote Vehicle StartWith this feature the engine can be started from outsideof the vehicle.Q to lock all doors.Starting the Vehicle1. Aim the remote keyless access transmitter at thevehicle.2. PressQ.3. Immediately after completing Step 2, press andhold / until the turn signal lamps flash.1-4InformationProvidedby:

When the vehicle starts, the parking lamps will turn onand remain on as long as the engine is running. Thedoors will be locked and the climate control system maycome on.The engine will continue to run for 10 minutes. Repeatthe steps for a 10-minute time extension. Remote startcan be extended only once.From the inside:.Press the power door lock switch located on eachfront door. See Power Door Locks on page 3‑13for more information.Push down or pull up on the manual door lockknob for the rear door. The knob is located at thetop of the door panel near the window.Canceling a Remote StartTo cancel a remote start:Another way to lock or unlock the vehicle, is topress Q or K on the keyless access transmitter.See Vehicle Personalization on page 3‑58 forinformation on how to program the keyless accessfeature.Aim the RKE transmitter at the vehicle and pressand hold / until the parking lamps turn off.Turn on the hazard warning flashers.Power Door Locks.Press the Acc. button (ignition switch).Turn on the valet lockout switch.On vehicles with power door locks, the switches arelocated on the front doors.":Q:See Remote Vehicle Start on page 3‑10.Press to unlock the doors.Remove the key from the ignition and press to lockthe doors.Door LocksThere are several ways to lock and unlock the vehicle.From the outside:.Pull the front door handle. Seat AdjustmentPower Lumbar AdjustmentThe control is located onthe outboard side of thefront seat(s).Power SeatsThe power seat controlsare on the outboard sideof the seat(s).Press the front or rear of the control to increase ordecrease lumbar support.Move the seat forward or rearward by moving thecontrol (A) forward or rearward.Press the top or bottom of the control to raise or lowerthe position of the lumbar support.Raise or lower the front or rear of the seat cushion bymoving the front or rear of the control (A) up or down.See Power Lumbar on page 2‑3.See Power Seats on page 2‑2.Power Reclining SeatbacksThe control is located on the outboard side of theseat(s).To raise or recline the seatback, tilt the top of thecontrol (B) forward or rearward.See Power Reclining Seatbacks on page 2‑4.InformationProvidedby:1-7

Heated Seats (Front)Heated Seats (Rear)On vehicles with heatedfront seats, the buttonsare located on the climatecontrol panel.If the vehicle has this feature, the controls are locatedon the center console.z : Press the up or down arrow to turn on the heatedseat at the highest or lowest setting.Press the up or down arrows a second time to raise orlower the setting. Sensing System for PassengerAirbagMirror AdjustmentExterior MirrorsThe passenger sensing system will turn off the rightfront passenger frontal airbag under certain conditions.The driver airbag, seat‐mounted side impact airbagsand the roof‐rail airbags are not affected by thepassenger sensing system.Controls for the outsidepower mirrors are locatedon the driver door.The passenger airbag status indicator will be visible onthe overhead console when the vehicle is started.1. Press one of the four arrows located on the controlpad to move the mirror to the desired direction.3. The dimming feature automatically adjusts the driveroutside mirror for the glare of the headlamps behindyour vehicle. See Automatic Dimming Rearview Mirroron page 3‑37 for more information.Steering Wheel AdjustmentManually fold the mirrors inward to prevent damagewhen going through an automatic car wash. To fold,push the mirror toward the vehicle. Push the mirroroutward, to return to its original position.Interior MirrorThe vehicle has an automatic dimming inside rearviewmirror. Automatic dimming reduces the glare of lightsfrom behind the vehicle.
