Phone.505-925-5501Ticket Office Phone.505-925-LOBOThe University of New Mexico beach volleyballteam is aiming to pick up some experience asit plays three matches against No. 10/12 GrandCanyon, Abilene Christian and GrossmontCollege this Friday and Saturday in Phoenix.After starting their 2018 campaign with somesolid performances, the Lobos (0-3) are lookingfor their first wins of the season as they face offagainst the Lopes (2-4) and Wildcats (0-4) onFriday and the Griffins (6-0) on Saturday at theGCU Beach Volleyball Stadium.This week’s slate, like most this season,continues a season-opening stretch of fourweeks with at least one nationally rankedopponent.Grand Canyon, despite its record, is ranked10th in the DiG Magazine Poll and 12th in theAVCA Poll, while the Lobos are receiving votesin the AVCA Poll.However, as they venture back into the sand,this week provides New Mexico chance toimprove.Last weekend, UNM was able to competeagainst a trio of top-20 foes at the ArizonaInvitational.
