DATA SHEETFlow ControllersModel FC 8744,Series FC 8800 & FC 8900Flow Controllers for Gas & Liquid ServiceModel 1350G with FC 8800FC 8744FC 8800/ FC 8900Brooks flow controllers are designed to maintain a constant differential pressure acrossan integral manual flow regulating valve. The incoming fluid pressure on one side of thediaphragm, and outlet pressure plus spring action on the other side, position an integraldiaphragm-actuated control valve. Variations in the supply or discharge pressure disturbthe balance of forces on the diaphragm, causing the internal control valve to open orclose, thus maintaining a fixed differential pressure across the integral, manual flowregulating valve resulting in constant flow. (Refer to Figure 1)Model FC 8744 controllers are used for accurately adjusting and maintaining smallgas and liquid flows with variable downstream pressures.Series FC 8800 controllers are used for accurately adjusting and maintaining liquidand gas flows with variable upstream pressures.Series FC 8900 controllers are used for accurately adjusting and maintaining liquidand gas flows with variable downstream pressures.Features Flow controllers for high pressure or low flow rates to handle demanding applicationsIntegral mounting to flowmeter to save space and improve installationHigh-resolution valves provide precise flow control for many applicationsMany different materials of construction that provides process immunity and flexibilityProduct SpecificationsFlow Ranges (Refer to Table 1)Pressure and Temperature RatingsMinimum Operating Temperature:Maximum Operating Temprature:Water - up to 480 GPH / 1820 l/hAir - up to 2130 SCFH / 56000 ln/hUp to 1000 psig / 69 Bar. controllers utilise PID feedback. The importance of PID controllers has not decreased with the adoption of advanced control, because advanced controllers act by changing the setpoints of PID controllers in a lower regulatory layer. The performance of the system depends critically on the behavior of the PID controllers. 2016: Sun Li
