Replace HardwareBe aware that after using Replace Hardware and changing the license, the license should always be checked to verifythat it is activated.4K RemarksDue to the nature of 4K and the high resolution at high frame rates, this will increase the demand for high performingnetwork, CPU, graphic adaptors and monitors. Unless all components in the hardware infrastructure is prepared for ahigh load, there might be limitations seen as latency, stutter etc.4K – Is only recommended for Siveillance Video version 2016 or later, which supports HW accelerated decoding usingthe GPU.ONVIF upgrade from DP 8.0During a Device Pack upgrade, there is a possibility that the ONVIF devices configured in the Siveillance Video mightnot work. This is due to the changes in latest ONVIF Standards. If any of the settings (Profiles: General settings orVideo Streams) are not downloaded to the devices, it is recommended to use the “Replace Hardware” option in thedevice listed under a recording server.Axis RemarksThe Axis M, P and Q drivers (except P8221) have been replaced with four new dynamic drivers that also supports thenew Axis Events handling. This means that all new devices added to a system will automatically be detected on one ofthe new drivers.Note: If your devices are using firmware 5.20 or lower then Events and I/O will not work with the new drivers. Soeither upgrade to a newer firmware or manually select the driver to add the device. Be aware if you add thedevice manually and later upgrade the firmware you will need to do a Replace Hardware to change to thenew driver. Before Replacing Hardware to only change the driver and not the hardware please contact SiveillanceTechnical Support on how to do this correctly.AVHS: Due to a limitation in the firmwares only 9 socket connections can be open on an AVHS device at any time.JPEG video streams, Audio In streams, Audio Out and Output streams use 1 socket connection each. H.264video streams, Events, Inputs and Edge Storage use 2 connections each. This also means that whenupgrading from a previous Device Pack to 7.3 all Channels should be disabled before the upgrade. Audio Out does not work properly with firmwares before 5.50 when running the older versions. To get AudioOut to work in the older versions with a firmware before 5.50 you need to either enable anonymous login ordisable all authentication on the device. Audio Out will work with firmwares before 5.50 on the new 7.0dversions.SI SSP SH LPS COS Video7Siveillance Video Device Pack

Bosch RemarksFor Bosch devices with FW 6.60 and above, adding might fail, if you use Auto Discovery method and have more than 3unsuccessful tries with incorrect credentials. To avoid that, it is recommend to manually add these Bosch devices withcorrect credentials.Hikvision remarksDue to the new security policy introduced by Hikvision with the 5.3.x baseline firmware, adding Hikvision camerasmay cause temporary lockout of devices, even if the correct username and password have been predefined. This canbe avoided by disabling the ‘Enable Illegal Login Lock’ option on the camera’s webpage, if it is available in thefirmware.Firmware versions supporting the ‘Enable Illegal Login Lock’ v5.3.8 build 150722 v5.3.0 build 150513 v5.3.8 build 151224 v5.3.10 build 150917Firmware versions without the ‘Enable Illegal Login Lock’ v5.3.8 build 150707 v5.3.9 build 150910Recommended installation steps:For devices that have the ability to control the Illegal Login Lock:It is recommended to disable the Illegal Login Lock from camera’s web page prior adding the device to SiveillanceVideo software. Enabling it afterwards will not affect the functionality of this camera. If disabling this feature is not an option please mind the following:1.Avoid using express scan. If this is not an option please specify the username and password on top of thecredentials’ list.2.When using IP range don’t define more than 1 password and username.3.If you need to add a lot of cameras with different credentials it is recommended using CSV file method.4.Use manual add method (auto discovery). For devices without Illegal Login Lock control in their webpage:1.Avoid using express scan. If this is not an option please specify the username and password on top of thecredentials’ list.2.When using IP ranges don’t define more than 1 password and username.3.If you need to add a lot of cameras with different credentials it is recommended using CSV file method.4.Use manual add method (auto discovery).Using firmware 5.5.0 and later versionsWith firmware 5.5.0 Onvif will no longer be enabled by default. To enable it, you need to use the Hikvisions tool which is found on their webpage or do it directly on the camerashomepage.Multi stream devicesSome Hikvision cameras has support for up to 10 streams. If stream 6 to 10 needs to be used it should be set up onthe cameras webpage before the device is added to Siveillance Video.SI SSP SH LPS COS Video8Siveillance Video Device Pack

Video will be lost if stream 6 to 10 is selected in Siveillance Video and not set up on the camera’s webpage.Mobotix RemarksFor the Mobotix Q24 / Q25/ Q26: With JPEG streaming and use of Audio, there is a tradeoff between networkbandwidth and audio quality. In order to lower the bandwidth, the user should tune the FPS of MxPEG codecsettings in a way that audio quality does not get too badStretch RemarksTo accommodate requests that the Stretch cards can run in a machine that has no Network card, the Stretch cards willfrom Device Pack 7.1 use a new scheme to retrieve a serial number. This means that when updating from a previousdevice pack, you need to run a Replace Hardware and get a new license for the Stretch cards to work.Legacy Device PackDevice drivers are now split into two device packs:1.The regular device pack with newer drivers2.The legacy device pack with older driversThe regular device pack is included in the Product release. The legacy device pack is a separate installer.Note:The legacy device pack contains older, not common drivers that are no longer part of regular device pack developmentroadmap. We will no longer update drivers that are a part of the legacy device pack. This means that we will not fixpotential bugs or update the feature set of drivers in the legacy device pack, but we will continue to offer technicalsupport on the Siveillance Video system. Please refer the FAQs in Siveillance Video Legacy Device Pack FAQs to know more about Legacy device packs.Last released: Legacy Device Pack 1.2aUpdates: Moved JVC driver (JVCVNnE4V2) from Regular Device Pack to Legacy Device PackInformation:You have to stop the Siveillance Video Recording Server service in order to install the Legacy Device Pack 1.2aSupport & ContactsTechnical SupportIf you have questions or suggestions regarding the product or this documentation, please contact our SiveillanceSupport Center:Intranet:Siveillance VMS IntranetInternet:Siveillance VMS .comSIOS:My Support PortalTraining Support:Internal Siemens : Siemens My LearningExternal : Contact your local Siemens representativeSI SSP SH LPS COS Video9Siveillance Video Device Pack

To publish a new video, the video provider uploads a sin-gle high quality version of that video to the storage cloud of the CDN. Then, the CDN uses its transcoding cloud to transcode the video to all the bit rates requested by the video provider and stores the transcoded output in the stor-age cloud2. The video provider then makes the new video
