Hold power tool by insulated grippingsurfaces, when performing an operationwhere the cutting accessory may contacthidden wiring or its own cord. Cuttingaccessory contacting a “live” wire may makeexposed metal parts of the power tool “live” andcould give the operator an electric shock. Use clamps or another practical way tosecure and support the work piece to astable platform. Holding the work by hand oragainst your body leaves it unstable and maylead to loss of control. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves awayfrom air vents. Air vents often cover movingparts in which these items can be caught.WARNING: Some dust created bypower sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling,and other construction activities containschemicals known to the State of Californiato cause cancer, birth defects or otherreproductive harm. Some examples ofthese chemicals are: lead from lead-based paints, crystalline silica from bricks and cementand other masonry products, and arsenic and chromium from chemicallytreated lumber.Your risk from these exposures varies, dependingon how often you do this type of work. To reduceyour exposure to these chemicals: work in a wellventilated area, and work with approved safetyequipment, such as those dust masks that arespecially designed to filter out microscopic particles. Avoid prolonged contact with dust frompower sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling,and other construction activities. Wearprotective clothing and wash exposedareas with soap and water. Allowing dust toget into your mouth, eyes, or lay on the skinmay promote absorption of harmful chemicals. Wear appropriate hearing protectionduring use. Under some conditions andduration of use, noise from this product maycontribute to hearing loss.WARNING: Use of this tool can generateand/or disperse dust, which may causeserious and permanent respiratory orother injury. Do not wear looseclothing or jewelry. Keep your hair,clothing and gloves away from movingparts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long haircan be caught in moving parts.g) If devices are provided for the connectionof dust extraction and collection facilities,ensure these are connected and properlyused. Use of dust collection can reducedust-related hazards.4) Power tool use and carea) Do not force the power tool. Usethe correct power tool for yourapplication. The correct power tool willdo the job better and safer at the rate forwhich it was designed.b) Do not use the power tool if the switchdoes not turn it on and off. Any powertool that cannot be controlled with theswitch is dangerous and must be repaired.c) Disconnect the plug from the powersource and/or the battery pack fromthe power tool before making anyadjustments, changing accessories,or storing power tools. Do not overload.4Trigger Switch & forward/ReversesliderThe forward/reverse slider (1) is used to controlthe direction the attachment’s rotation. It islocated above the variable speed trigger (2). Toreverse the motor, release the trigger FIRST,then push the slider to the right hand side ofthe tool when viewing from the rear. After anyreversing operations, return lever to the forwardposition. Never change the direction of rotationwhile the motor is running. The Power Unit is turned ON and OFFby pulling and releasing the trigger. Thefarther the trigger is depressed, the higherthe speed of the Power Unit. A forward/reverse control slider determinesthe direction of the tool. To select forward rotation, release thetrigger switch and depress the forward/reverse control button to the left. To select reverse, depress the forward/
