The graph on the previous page shows revenues and expenses distribution inFY2018 survey results.ROOM OCCUPANCYIn FY2018 average room occupancy of all participating hotels was 83%, which is the same occupancy ratio of theprevious year.AVERAGE DAILY ROOM RATE (ADR)In FY2018, the average ADR of all participating hotels was JPY 26,969 which was 3,041 yen higher than theFY2017 survey result of JPY 23,928. We consider the increase in ADR was caused by some higher-rate hotelentries to the Japan market under the high room night demand with a great increase of inbound travelers toJapan. Some lower ADR hotels did not participate in the 2019 survey, which is one of the reasons to raise theaverage ADR of this year.2019 年 日本ホテル業界調査/JAPAN HOTEL INDUSTRY SURVEY 20197

Retail banking in Asia is on the cusp of a new era—an era of amazing growth and opportunities but also an era that will see downward pressure on returns.
