Maybe the CBBT commission should take overmanagement of the HRBT from VDOT and our legislature.whereFINDPopular SearchesLogin to your account to post comments report violation hide all comments from this user10or1Phone Order Sales ClerkVirginia Beach, Virginia InternationalMarketing AssociationTUNNEL TO WHERE?Submitted by quiturcryin on Tue, 08/13/2013 at 11:13 pm.Where do you want the third HRBT tunnel to go to, Fort Wool? Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel tolls increase next year HamptonRoads.com PilotOnline.com8/15/13 11:08 AMLet them eat cake .right? You no doubt work for the CBBT or are well off financially on the Eastern Shore of VA.The facts are that the residents there already pay state and federal road taxes so this bridge islike the feudal days when Kings and Lords imposed their wills on the people who wereREQUIRED to pass.Be thankful that you have money in today's economy; my friends don't.Login to your account to post comments report violation hide all comments from this user2or1TRAVELERSubmitted by hollis on Wed, 08/14/2013 at 5:31 pm.Have you been up north lately? The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge is 15.00, and that does notinclude the toll road you must take to access the bridge. The CBBT is it's own entity, meaning that it does not receive state monies. Costs continue torise and this is a relatively small increase. The last increase was in June of 2004 - nearly 10years ago.And no, I don't work for them. I just don't get upset when well managed entities need to raiseprices. If they are planning to dig deeper tunnels (discussed a while ago), they should make the portskick in since they are the one who will profit from that endeavor.Login to your account to post comments report violation hide all comments from this user2or1HOLLISSubmitted by Traveler on Wed, 08/14/2013 at 6:19 pm.Thank you; you just made my point. The CBBT is the MOST expensive crossing in America. It's MORE than 15.00 even now; also the crossing are the NJTP correct? That NJTP extends for miles and is a separate entity from the bridges. You're arguing nonsense. You no doubt work for the CBBT or have some member of yourfamily there otherwise why would you be writing these "falsehoods". Another point NYC isNOT in dire financial straits like the two counties on the Eastern Shore of VA who needtourists and trade.BTW, for the benefit of the public. The people working for the CBBT have FREE access tocross it anytime they want. This writer is probably one of them.Login to your account to post comments report violation hide all comments from this user1or1or0COMMUTER TOLL?Submitted by toolman464 on Wed, 08/14/2013 at 7:11 am.What happened to the commuter toll for those crossing over 30 times in a month?Login to your account to post comments report violation hide all comments from this user3NO SURPRISE HERE.Submitted by Chocolatelab1 on Wed, 08/14/2013 at 7:52 am.Of course they approved it.as long as the tolls are going up they will approve anything andeverything.Login to your account to post comments report violation hide all comments from this user0or1ALTERNATESSubmitted by truthseeker on Wed, 08/14/2013 at 11:00 am.If I remember correctly, the only alternate is the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in MD.
