PREFACEState Public Sector Enterprises (SPSEs) are an important segment of theGovernment and are vital instruments of public policy to fulfill various socio-economicobjectives. The Public Sector Enterprises play an important role in capital formation andgeneration of employment.The State Profile of SPSEs contains data for 41 State Public Sector Enterprisesfor the financial years 2016-17 & 2017-18. Out of these, 22 PSEs are registered underthe Companies Act, 1956 and 19 are registered under the Cooperative Societies Act,1984.Out of the operating 41 State Public Sector Enterprises, 25 have generated acumulative net profit of Rs.1248.36 crore. The number of profit making PSEs hasincreased from 18 to 25 over the last four years. Cumulative loss of the PSEs hasdecreased by 27% in the current year from Rs.754.91 crore in the last financial year toRs. 550.81 crore in the current financial year.Apart from providing budgetary support in the form of share capital and grant-inaid, the focus of the Government is to enhance the quality of services being renderedby these State Public Sector Enterprises.This is the tenth such report which has been prepared by the Haryana Bureau ofPublic Sector Enterprises (HBPE). Analysis of the Profitability of Cooperatives over the last five years (2013-14 to 2017-18)(Rs. In h shows profitability of various Cooperatives over the last five Financial Years i.e. 2013-14 to 2017-18. Theprofit in Financial year 2013-14 was Rs. 7291.55 Lakh (11%), whereas, the total profit is Rs. 13219.85 Lakh inthe Financial Year 2017-18. The profits have almost doubled.
