To operate the food processor, the safety cover must be properly locked in place.B. To operate the blender, processor lid must be locked in place.C. When operating blender make sure that all attachments are first removed from thefood processor bowl.D. Do not attempt to use both blender and food processor at the same time.E. GETTING TO KNOW YOUR QUAD BLADE FOODPROCESSING CENTEROPERATING INSTRUCTIONSSpeed Control Dial5. Fit the spindle onto the motor shaftand the appropriate attachmentsonto the spindle. Use "Pulse"when the unit is in the "Off" position.Use "Turbo" when the unit is in the"On" position and you need a burst ofpower. Should this occur duringuse and the appliance stopsfunctioning, following is the re-settingprocedure:1. Turn the “ON/OFF” speed controlto the “OFF” position2. Unplug the unit from the wallreceptacle.3. Remove and empty the processorbowl. Ensure that no food isjamming the cutting blades orattachments.4. Allow the appliance to cool downfor a minimum of 30 minutes.5. Re-install the processor bowl andre-plug appliance in the wall outlet.6. Proceed to use the appliance asbefore. Should the appliance stillfail to operate, turn the “ON/OFF”speed control to the “OFF” positionand unplug from the wall outlet.Allow the appliance to cool downfor an additional 1 to 2 hours. CLEANING & MAINTENANCECAUTION: Make sure that the unit is unplugged from power source and speedcontrol dial is in the “OFF” position before inserting or removing anyattachments and before cleaning. Never immerse the unit, cord or plugin water or any other liquid.Clean the main unit with a dampcloth only.Only the stainless steel blades canbe washed in the dishwasher.All other parts can be cleaned inwarm sudsy water using regulardishwashing liquid.If food has spilled over on to themain unit, use the pointy end of thespatula to clean the cracks andcrevices of the base under the foodprocessor bowl.To clean the blender, fill the blenderjar with warm, sudsy water, placethe blender lid on the unit and runthe blender at speed level "MAX"for 30 seconds. Rinse and repeat ifnecessary.Using the Storage CompartmentYour QUAD BLADE FoodProcessor/Blender comes with astorage compartment. (Fig. 37)Fig. 371. Lift the lid of the storagecompartment.2. Place attachments inside asshown above.Hints & Tips: The double chopping blade can beused for chopping meat, fish,vegetables, cheese, etc. settingthe speed to maximum.For finer chopping, increase thelength of time you process.For coarser chopping, use the pulsebutton for a few seconds and monitorfood texture.Pre-cut larger pieces to make them fitinto the feed tube.
