May also use a commercialproduct which cleans anddisinfects in one step. One of the keys to preventing the spread of communicable skinconditions is to have wrestlers refrain from sharing soap, razors ortowels.www.nfhs.orgwww.nfhs.orgPoints of EmphasisTAKEDOWNRULES 5‐25‐2, 5‐25‐3ARM TRAP It is a takedown when, froma neutral position, awrestler gains control overthe opponent down on themat and all the supportingpoints of either wrestler areinbounds. When a majorityof the defensive wrestler’sweight is borne on ahand(s), it is considered asupporting point(s).www.nfhs.org In a rear‐standing position with the defensivewrestler’s arm(s) trapped while he/she is lifted offtheir feet, it should be considered potentiallydangerous. There is a risk that when the wrestler is returned tothe mat while having no use of an arm(s) to break thefall, a serious injury could occur. Returning the wrestler to the mat in a safe manner isone of the highest priorities for the controllingwrestler and the observing official.www.nfhs.org4
