The deadline to return the application isTuesday, April 10th, 2012 to your 8th grade counselor.Early College High School will award priority points to applicants who are:1. First generation college student,2. Students who come from groups that historically have lower than average high school completion, collegeattendance, and graduation rates,3. Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch based on family income,4. Classified At Risk based on the state definition for students at risk of not graduating,5. English language learners.To apply, you must:a. Completely fill out the application form and return it on time to your counselor.b. Be a resident of Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School Districtc. Provide proof of residency ( a copy of entire current utility bill, gas, electric or a lease agreement with thestudent listed as a resident)d. Have a good attendance and behavior recorde. Have a strong work ethic*f. Go through the interview process* Two recommendations will be required from your current campus. One of the two recommendations mustcome from an 8th grade math, science, social studies, or English teacher.The general eligibility to be considered for admission into the Impact Early College High School located at Lee College areas follows:The student must be a resident of Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School DistrictThe student must meet the requirements for promotion from 8th to 9th grade including 90% attendance, 70%overall GPA in core subjects, and mastery of the first administration of the spring 2010 TAKS Math and Readingtests.The application must be completed.The applicant must attend four days of orientation training in June of 2012.Impact Early College High School located at Lee College is a high school campus that students elect to attend.
