Trunk Hwy Reference Post ListingOfficial Statistics, Provided by the Office of Transportation System Management (OTSM)The system on which these figures are based is subject to ongoing revisions which can result in variations in the information provided on thestatistical reports over time. To maintain consistency, the Statewide Trunk Reference Post report is based on a snapshot of road data takenat the end of the year. This date coincides with the annual data freeze used for federal reporting and statewide certified miles.Data in this report represents road data as of December 31, 2020Report SummaryThe Statewide Trunk Reference Post report lists the reference post location in miles for all MN Trunk Highways for both the increasing(inventory) and decreasing sides of the road. In cases where a post does not physically exist, the location is recorded with a status oftheoretical. Theoretical posts occur when there is a physical gap in the road and in certain other cases; for example some trunk highwayswithin cities do not have physical reference posts.DataRoute:Route identifier expressed as the route system abbreviation and route number.Reference Post:Number signed on the post.County:County jurisdiction on the increasing (inventory) side of the road. County names are currentlyunavailable on coincident route sections.City:City jurisdiction on the increasing (inventory) side of the road. City names are currently unavailableon coincident route sections.True Distance:Location of post along a route in miles.Miles from Preceding Post:Distance from previous post in miles.Status:E Existing post in the field, T Theoretical post.
