DIRECTOR’S BIODebbie McMahon earned her M.A. at NYU in Performance Studies and studied physicalactor-created theatre at Dell’Arte. As artistic director of her own company, GrandGuignolers (www.grandguignolers.com), she creates, directs and performs in criticallyacclaimed sold out shows blending traditional genres: commedia dell’arte, clown, melodrama, Grand Guignol, dance, and puppetry, all in a 1920s Parisian event-likeatmosphere. She also clowns for Cirque du Soleil promoting their upcoming Iris at theKodak Theatre.A NOTE FROM PANTALONEMonterotondrians & Visitors,King Tartaglia returns from the will-it-ever-stop war with the Terradombrians. Cat’s aheadcase: speech impedi you know, PTSD, wife Ninetta sent to her death in a sewer. That’s gotta hurt. Course we’ll miss the f-d up splendid (sorry, slip o’ the finger) rule ofhis mommy, Queen Tartagliona. Ask that ugly bitch lovely lady’s (seriously type-o) “fortuneteller,” Brighella. Got her cheeks to his balls, crystal balls, if yaknowhaumsayin’ wink winkbadabrighoo badabrighella.Yet, strolling through our fine streets, I thought to myself,“Self. War torn schmore torn. That’s a freakin’ tasty sausage.” Truffaldino & Smeraldina’sbutchery: visit, eat, enjoy. Nap to nattering on reason and self-love from their adoptedbookworm twins, Renzo & Barbarina. Not that I believe in magic: king-turned-green-bird?Not. Talking statues? Take the olive from my martini now, thanks. Singing apples, waters thatdance? Let’s hear Ms. Braeburn’s pipes and see Two Hs and the Big O’s gams.Signore PantaloneSPECIAL THANKSMatt Walker, John Achorn, Jon Monastero, Andy Robinson, David Bridel, Sarah Bedo.
