CLUTCH KITSADVANTAGEClutch KitsEaton has released a new line of clutches called the Advantage Series Clutch thatreplaces the current Easy Pedal and Solo Clutches. The Advantage Series Clutchhas been released for use in both production and the aftermarket. The AdvantageSeries Clutch family is a 15.5” heavy-duty clutch that incorporates numerous productimprovements and enhancements to extend life and improve serviceability.The new Eaton Easy Pedal Advantage Manual Adjust Clutch will replace thecurrent Eaton Easy Pedal Clutch and the new Eaton Solo Advantage SelfAdjusting Clutch will replace the current Eaton Solo Clutch.The new Advantage Series Clutch features an enhanced release bearing design witha more robust bushing material. The benefit of this is that the clutch service intervalcan be increased from 20,000 km to a maximum of 40,000 km.The new release bearing (Z1271049) also features three grease zerks that provideflexibility in setting up a lubrication path regardless of whether a truck utilizes anover-slung mechanical release fork, under-slung mechanical release fork, or catapultstyle release fork used with preloaded hydraulic linkages.New Casing DesignThree Grease ZerksWider Thrust PlatesZ1271049 Clutch ReleaseComposite SlingersMore Efficient GreaseReservoirThe roller yoke (Part no. 97-509-10-3X) used on current XL clutch products will not be requiredwith any of the new Advantage Series Clutches.
