FIFTH PART - MISCELLANEOUS RECORDSTINKLING SPRXR&C O CEMETERYF ISHERSVILLE, AUGUSTA COUNTY, VIRGINIA»The Tinkling Spring Meeting House was founded in1738 and officially organized in its specificlocation in 1740. Its old burying ground wasbegun near the Church on or before this date.Seventy-seven heads of families subscribed tothe first building, constructed of logs, andwere scattered over an area which now has thefollowing villages and cities: F ishersvi l i e ,Greenville, Hermitage, Staunton, Stuarts Draftand Waynesboro. Most of those who died in theearly years of the settlement have no grave markers. The tabulation was made by the Church about1950. An addenda will add the present cemetery.
