Allowing children to be in a vehicle unattended isdangerous for a number of reasons. A child orothers could be seriously or fatally injured. Children should be warned not to touch the parkingbrake, brake pedal or the shift lever. Do not leave the Key Fob in or near the vehicle, orin a location accessible to children. This lock prevents steering the vehicle without the ignition key. If the steering wheel is movedapproximately a half turn in either direction, and the keyis not in the ignition, the steering wheel will lock.To Manually Lock The Steering WheelWith the engine running, rotate the steering wheel one–half revolution from the straight ahead position, turn offthe engine, and remove the key. Rotate the steering wheelslightly in both directions until the lock engages.Opening the driver’s door when the key is in the ignitionTo Release The Steering Wheel Locksounds a signal to remind you to remove the key.Insert the key in the ignition, and turn the wheel slightlyto the left or right, to disengage the lock.
