class unless there is an absolute emergency.Meisner training is based on “building blocks” of learning/doing that take place in a progressiveway via each class session; so missing a class can significantly impede your development. If you must be absent due to COVID related issues, or for any other emergency purposes, youmust contact both me and any assigned partners for the class period in question well inadvance to notify us of the situation. If a student acquires excessive absences, they will beencouraged to drop the class and take it at a later date, as it will prove impossible to achieve thelearning outcomes of the course and successfully undertake the final graded presentations inthe class.*for more information on the university attendance policy please go to the following p.LATE ARRIVALS: To further foster a high level of commitment – and because the work we willbe doing this semester will involve intensive focus – the class will adopt the following late entrypolicy. Students must be on time for every class. Entering a class late or leaving early isdisruptive to the flow of the class and indicative of a less-than-disciplined/committed artist. Please be on time out of consideration to your learning process and the processes of others. Ifyou are late for class, your participation grade will reflect this. The class will begin promptly at4:30 p.m.! If you arrive after 4:40 p.m., please do not enter the classroom (you will be markedabsent regardless). If you arrive within the ten minute grace period, please do so discretely inorder to avoid disrupting the class activities/discussions. Also, you are expected to stay until youare dismissed from class.SUBMISSION OF ASSIGNMENTS: All assignments must be submitted in hard copy or via D2Lto the instructor as outlined by the instructor in class for particular assignments.CELL PHONES AND LAPTOPS: Please turn off all cell phones upon entering the classroom. Please do not check messages or engage in text messaging during class. This is disruptive tothe flow of the course. Further, I request that you do not use laptops during this class as thesound of typing is disruptive during others’ presentations.*This syllabus/schedule subject to change.

All assignments are due within the first tenminutes of the class period unless I specify otherwise. At 4:40 p.m. on the day that theassignment is due, your assignment will receive one letter grade reduction in credit; at 4:30 p.m.the following day another letter grade will be reduced, and so on. No late assignments will beaccepted after one week past the original due date.EXTRA CREDIT: As a general rule, there is no other extra credit offered in this class – please,do not even ask.
