Immediately press and hold /for at least two seconds until theturn signal lamps flash.Press L again or start the vehicleto cancel the panic alarm.When the vehicle starts, the parkinglamps will remain on as long as theengine is running. The doors will belocked and the climate controlsystem may come on.8 : Press and hold to open orclose the liftgate.Press the key release button nearthe bottom of the transmitter toremove the key. The key can beused for the driver door and theglove box.The engine will continue to run for10 minutes. Repeat the steps for a10-minute time extension. Remotestart can be extended only once.See Keys on page 2‑2 and RemoteKeyless Entry (RKE) SystemOperation on page 2‑3.To cancel a remote start, do any ofthe following:Remote Vehicle StartIf available, this feature allows theengine to be started from outside ofthe vehicle.Starting the Vehicle1. See Remote KeylessEntry (RKE) System Operation onpage 2‑3.There is a power door lock switchon the front door panels.KeyTo lock or unlock the door, use thekey in the driver door. Turn the keycounterclockwise once to unlock thedriver door; turning the key againwill unlock the passenger doors.Inside the VehicleTo unlock a door from the inside,pull once on the door handle tounlock it, and a second time toopen it.Q:K:Power Liftgate OperationPress to lock the doors.Press to unlock the doors.See Power Door Locks onpage 2‑11.LiftgateManual Liftgate OperationFor vehicles without keyless access,unlock the vehicle before openingthe liftgate.Press the touch pad in the handle ofthe liftgate, above the license plate,and lift up to open.Do not press the touch pad whileclosing the liftgate. This will causethe liftgate to be unlatched.On vehicles with a power liftgate,the switch is on the driver door. Thevehicle must be in P (Park) to usethe power feature. The taillampsflash when the power liftgatemoves.

Press the center ofthe switch.1-7WindowsRemote Window OperationPress or pull the switch part of theway to open or close the window.The vehicle may have remoteoperating windows that will openall the windows from outside thevehicle by pressing and holding Kon the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)transmitter.The three modes are:MAX: The liftgate opens to the fullopen height.3/4: The liftgate opens to a reducedheight that can be set by the vehicleoperator in a range of approximatelythree-quarters open to full open.OFF: The liftgate only operatesmanually in this position.See Liftgate on page 2‑13.Fully press the front of theswitch down and release it toexpress-down the window. Fully pullthe switch up and release it toexpress-up the window.Press v { to activate the windowlockout on the rear doors.See Power Windows on page 2‑22.See Power Windows on page 2‑22.

Try to move the seat back andforth to be sure it is locked inplace.To raise or recline the seatback, usethe lever on the outboard side ofthe seat.See Seat Adjustment on page 3‑4and Reclining Seatbacks onpage 3‑6.To adjust a power seat, if equipped:.Move the seat forward orrearward by sliding thecontrol (1) forward or rearward.Raise or lower the front part ofthe seat cushion by moving thefront of the control (1) upor down.Raise or lower the entire seat bymoving the rear of the control (1)up or down.Power SeatsSee Power Seat Adjustment onpage 3‑4.To adjust a manual seat:1. A ventilated seat has a fanthat pulls or pushes air through theseat. The air is not cooled.Press the button once for thehighest setting. With each press ofthe button, the seat will change tothe next lower setting, and then tothe off setting. The indicator lightsnext to the buttons indicate three forthe highest setting and one for thelowest. If the front heated seats areon high, the level may automaticallybe lowered after approximately30 minutes.See Heated and Ventilated FrontSeats on page 3‑9.The heated and ventilated frontseats can also be programmed tocome on during a remote start.See Vehicle Personalization onpage 5‑40.

Return the selector switch to thecenter position.If the vehicle has the automaticdimming mirror, the driver outsidemirror and the inside rearview mirrorautomatically adjust for the glare ofheadlamps behind you. SeeAutomatic Dimming Mirror onpage 2‑21 or Automatic DimmingRearview Mirror on page 2‑21.To adjust the steering wheel:1. Pull the lever down.2. Move the steering wheel upor down.Manual Folding Mirrors Shown,Power Folding SimilarTo adjust the mirror:1. Move the selector switch to L(Left) or R (Right) to choose thedriver or passenger mirror.3. Pull or push the steering wheelcloser or away from you.4. Pull the lever up to lock thesteering wheel in place.Do not adjust the steering wheelwhile driving.

These lampscome on when any door is opened.To manually turn the reading lampson or off:The switch used to adjust thepedals is located on the right side ofthe steering column, below thewiper stalk. Pull the switch towardyou to move the pedals further fromthe floor, or push the switch awayfrom you to move the pedals closerto the floor.For the overhead consolereading lamps, press the m orn next to each lamp.For the rear passenger readinglamps, press the lamp lens.For more information on interiorlighting, see Instrument PanelIllumination Control on page 6‑6.To change the dome lamp settings,press the following:* : Turns the lamp off, even whena door is open.
