Dear Customer, thank you for purchasing XG-900 Modeling Guitar. Here you have abrief Manual that introduces you to its main features. We are sure you will enjoy thevariety of sounds and the playability of a handcraft, truly innovative, instrument.SIM1’s TeamA – On/Off button: When in OFF position XG-900 works as a standard ElectricGuitar. The Pickup Selector (I) works to select the Neck, Bridge or Mid PositionPickup. Then you can adjust the Volume Knob (H) and the Tone Knob (F).B – Battery Charger Outlet: Remove the plastic cap and connect the BatteryCharger to the guitar and to the electric socket. NB: Use only the Battery Chargersupplied with the Guitar. To check the battery level, turn the guitar on (A), then tapthe Black Rotary Selector (D). Battery Life: Up to 6,5 hoursC –Jack Output: Use a standard jack cable to connect the guitar to a powerspeaker, to a guitar amp or to the mixer.EASY MODE USEWhen you switch XG-900 on (A), the screen lights up and it becomes a ModelingGuitar. When XG-900 is brand new, it is always configured in the EASY MODE Use.This allows the User to start gradually practicing with its features.D – Black Rotary Selector: Rotate clockwise, or anticlockwise, to select the GuitarModel, then push it to confirm and activate the sound of the new guitar.2

The Guitar Model in use is visualized on the screen, along with the Bank Number,the Target Guitar Pickup, and the Source Guitar Pickup in use.E – Amp/Fx Switch: Activate/Disactivate the Amp Models and the Effects1. Amp OffWhen this switch is in OFF position you are using only the Guitar Models, thereforeit is suggested to connect XG-900 to a guitar amp.2. Amp OnWhen the switch is in ON position the Amp Models and the Effects on-board areactivated. This means that you can connect XG-900 directly to the mixer. Eachtime that you activate the Amp/FX Section, in sequence, you can:- Select one of the 3 Amp Models: Rotate the Black Rotary Knob (D) thenTap it confirm.- Adjust the Gain percentage (Same as before)- Adjust the Volume Level (Same as before)- Adjust the Reverb Level: Rotate the Black Rotary Knob (D) then Tap it toconfirm and exit to the Guitar Models list.You can check each setting adjustment through the Screen of the guitar.NB: with the EASY MODE each setting adjustment will be spread in everybank/target guitar pickup of the Configuration.3

G – Overdrive On/Off: Activate/Disactivate the Overdrive Effect.3. OD OnWhen the switch is in ON position the Overdrive Effect is activated. Now it ispossible to adjust the Overdrive Gain, then Tap the Black Rotary Knob (D) toconfirm and exit to the Guitar Models list.With the Easy Mode, each time that you activate the Overdrive Switch, the startingGain Level will be the same that you confirmed the last time you activated it.NB: With the EASY MODE USE all the setting selected by the User (Amp Model,Volume, OD Gain, Reverb) are stored in all the Banks/Guitar Models of the XG-900.I – Pickup Selector: The Modeling Guitar has a 5 ways Pickup Selector; eachposition corresponds to a Bank of its Configuration, which is occupied by a TargetGuitar Pickup. XG-900 has been previously configured with 18 guitar models, eachof which has a variable number of pickups.4

Use only the specified AC adaptor, and make sure the line voltage at the installation matches theinput voltage specifications.An AC adaptor, different from that one specified in the instruction manual may use a differentpolarity or may have a different voltage. Its use might cause damage, malfunction, or electricshock.Avoid damaging power cords and avoid using the unit with damaged power cords. A damagedcord can easily cause an electrical shock or fire hazard.This unit, in combination with an amplifier or headphones, may cause permanent hearing loss,when operating for a long period with high volume levels, or with an uncomfortable volume level. Ifyou experience any hearing loss or ear ringing, stop using the device and immediately consult anaudiologist.Make sure that liquids of any kind are not spilled on the device.
