Front SeatsPower SeatsThe power seat controls are located on the outboardside of the front seats. Move the seat forward or rearward by sliding thecontrol forward or rearward. Raise or lower the front part of the seat cushion bymoving the front of the control up or down. Raise or lower the rear part of the seat cushion bymoving the rear of the control up or down. Raise or lower the entire seat by moving the entirecontrol up or down.The power reclining seatback control is located behindthe power seat control on the outboard side of theseats. See Power Reclining Seatbacks on page 1-7.Your vehicle has a memory function which allows seatsettings to be saved and recalled. See MemorySeat, Mirrors, and Pedals on page 1-6.Driver’s Seat with Power Seat Control, PowerRecline, and Power Lumbar shown1-2

Power Lumbar To raise the height of the support, press and holdthe top of the control. To lower the height of the support, press and holdthe bottom of the control.Let go of the control when the lower seatback reachesthe desired level of support.Your vehicle has a memory function which allows seatsettings to be saved and recalled. See MemorySeat, Mirrors, and Pedals on page 1-6 for moreinformation.Keep in mind that as your seating position changes, asit may during long trips, so should the position ofyour lumbar support. Adjust the seat as needed.The controls used to operate the power lumbar featureare located on the outboard side of the seats. To increase lumbar support, press and hold thefront of the control. To decrease lumbar support, press and hold therear of the control.1-3

z (Heated Seat and Seatback):Heated SeatsIf the front seats have theheated seat feature, thebuttons used to control thisfeature are located onthe climate control panel.To heat the entireseat, press the bottom button with the heated seat andseatback symbol.This symbol will appear on the climate control display toindicate that the feature is on. Press the button to cyclethrough the temperature settings of high, medium, andlow and to turn the heated seat off. Indicator bars next tothe symbol designate the level of heat selected: three forhigh, two for medium, and one for low.The heated seats will be canceled ten seconds after theignition is turned off. If you want to use the heatedseat feature after you restart the vehicle, you will needto press the appropriate heated seat button again.If your vehicle has heated and cooled seats, see Heatedand Cooled Seats on page 1-5. Memory Seat, Mirrors, and PedalsYour vehicle has the memory package.The controls for this featureare located on the driver’sdoor, and are used toprogram and recall memorysettings for the driver’sseat, outside mirrors, andthe adjustable throttle andbrake pedal feature, if yourvehicle has it.To save your positions in memory, do the following:1. Adjust the driver’s seat, including the seatbackrecliner and lumbar, both outside mirrors, and thethrottle and brake pedals to a comfortable position.See Outside Power Foldaway Mirrors on page 2-45and Adjustable Throttle and Brake Pedal onpage 2-28 for more information.Not all mirrors will have the ability to save andrecall the mirror positions.2. Press and hold button 1 until two beeps let youknow that the position has been stored.1-6A second seating, mirror, and throttle and brake pedalposition can be programmed by repeating the abovesteps and pressing button 2.To recall the memory positions, the vehicle must be inPARK (P). Press and release either button 1 or button 2corresponding to the desired driving position. Theseat, outside mirrors, and adjustable throttle and brakepedals will move to the position previously stored.You will hear a single beep.If you use the remote keyless entry transmitter to enteryour vehicle and the remote recall memory featureis on, automatic seat, mirror, and adjustable pedalmovement will occur. See “MEMORY SEAT RECALL”under DIC Vehicle Customization on page 3-61 for moreinformation.To stop recall movement of the memory feature at anytime, press one of the power seat controls, memorybuttons, power mirror buttons, or adjustable pedalswitch.If something has blocked the driver’s seat and/or theadjustable pedals while recalling a memory position, thedriver’s seat and/or the adjustable pedals recall maystop working. If this happens, remove the obstructionand press the appropriate function control for twoseconds. Then try recalling the memory position againby pressing the appropriate memory button. If thememory position is still not recalling, see your dealer forservice.

Easy Exit SeatPower Reclining SeatbacksThe control for this feature is located on the driver’sdoor between buttons 1 and 2.With the vehicle in PARK (P), the exit position can berecalled by pressing the exit button. You will heara single beep. The driver’s seat will move back.If the easy exit seat feature is on in the DriverInformation Center (DIC), automatic seat movement willoccur when the key is removed from the ignition.See “EASY EXIT SEAT” under DIC VehicleCustomization on page 3-61 for more information.Further programming for the memory seat feature canbe done using the DIC. You can select the automaticeasy exit seat feature or the remote memory seat recallfeature.For programming information, see DIC VehicleCustomization on page 3-61.Driver’s Seat with Power Seat Control, PowerRecline, and Power Lumbar shownThe controls for the power reclining seatback arelocated on the outboard side of the front seats behindthe power seat control. To recline the seatback, tilt the top of the controlrearward. To bring the seatback forward, tilt the top of thecontrol forward.1-7

{CAUTION:Sitting in a reclined position when your vehicleis in motion can be dangerous. Even if youbuckle up, your safety belts cannot do theirjob when you are reclined like this.The shoulder belt cannot do its job. In a crash,you could go into it, receiving neck or otherinjuries.The lap belt cannot do its job either. In a crashthe belt could go up over your abdomen. Thebelt forces would be there, not at your pelvicbones. This could cause serious internalinjuries.For proper protection when the vehicle is inmotion, have the seatback upright. Then sitwell back in the seat and wear your safety beltproperly.Do not have a seatback reclined if your vehicle is moving.Your vehicle has a memory function which allows seatsettings to be saved and recalled. See MemorySeat, Mirrors, and Pedals on page 1-6.1-8

Head RestraintsPull the head restraint upto raise it. To lower thehead restraint, pressthe release button (A),located on the top ofthe seatback, whileyou push the headrestraint down.The front seats may have head restraints that also tiltforward and rearward.Adjust the head restraint so that the top of the restraintis at the same height as the top of the occupant’shead. This position reduces the chance of a neck injuryin a crash.To tilt the head restraint, grasp the top of the restraintwhile pressing the button (B), located on the inboardside of the head restraint, and move it forward orrearward until the desired locking position is reached.Try to move the head restraint after the button isreleased to make sure that it is locked in place.The second row seats may have head rests that can beadjusted up and down, but they do not tilt.1-9

M (Heated Seat):Center SeatYour vehicle may have a front center seat. The seatbackdoubles as an armrest and cupholder/storage area forthe driver and passenger when the center seat isnot used. Do not use it as a seating position when theseatback is folded down.Rear SeatsThe rear seats have theheated seat feature, thebuttons used to control thisfeature are located onthe Rear Seat Audio (RSA)panel.1-10A heated seat symbol will be shown in the RSA displayto indicate that the feature is on. Press the button tocycle through the temperature settings of high, medium,and low, and to turn it off. Indicator bars next to thesymbol will designate the level of heat selected: three forhigh, two for medium, and one for low.The heated seats will be canceled ten seconds after theignition is turned off. If the vehicle is restarted, theheated seat button will need to be pressed again torestart the feature.Heated SeatsDriver’s Side RSAHeated Seat ButtonOnly shownTo heat the seat cushion, press thebutton with the heated seat symbol.

60/40 Split Bench Seat(Second Row)If your vehicle has a 60/40 split bench, the seat(s) canbe folded for additional cargo space or folded andtumbled for easy entry and exit to the third row seats, ifyour vehicle has them. These seats will have eitherthe manual fold and tumble feature or the automatic seatrelease fold and tumble feature.Manual Fold and Tumble FeatureFolding and Tumbling the Seat(s)To fold and tumble the seat, do the following:1. Make sure that there is nothing under, in front of, oron the seat.2. Lift the lever, located on the outboard side of theseat, to release the seatback.Notice: Folding a rear seat with the safety beltsstill fastened may cause damage to the seat or thesafety belts. Always unbuckle the safety beltsand return them to their normal stowed positionbefore folding a rear seat.1-11

3. Lift the same leveragain to release therear of the seatfrom the floor. The seatwill tumble forward.The seatback will fold forward automatically.Leaving the seatback in this position creates a flatload floor.If the seatback cannot fold flat, try moving the frontseat forward and/or put the front seatback in theupright position.1-12

Returning the Seat(s) to the SittingPosition{CAUTION:To return the seat to the sitting position, do the following:1. Pull the seat down until it latches to the floor. Theseatback cannot be raised if the seat is not latchedto the floor.{CAUTION:If the seatback is not locked, it could moveforward in a sudden stop or crash. That couldcause injury to the person sitting there. Alwayspush and pull on the seatback to be sure it islocked.A safety belt that is improperly routed, notproperly attached, or twisted will not providethe protection needed in a crash. The personwearing the belt could be seriously injured.After raising the rear seatback, always checkto be sure that the safety belts are properlyrouted and attached, and are not twisted.3. Make sure the safety belt in the center seatingposition is not caught between the two seatsand is not twisted.2. Lift the seatback and push it rearward. Push andpull on the seatback to make sure it is locked.1-13

Folding and Tumbling the Seat(s) from theThird Row Seats{CAUTION:Using the third row seating position while thesecond row is folded, or folded and tumbled,could cause injury in a sudden stop or crash.Be sure to return the seat to the passengerseating position. Push and pull on the seat tomake sure it is locked into place.To fold and tumble the seat from the third rows, if yourvehicle has them, do the following:1. Make sure that there is nothing under, in front of, oron the seat.Notice: Folding a rear seat with the safety beltsstill fastened may cause damage to the seat or thesafety belts. Always unbuckle the safety beltsand return them to their normal stowed positionbefore folding a rear seat.1-142. Lift the lever(s), located on the bottom rear of thesecond row seat(s) on the inboard side, to releasethe seatback. The seatback will fold forward.3. Lift the same lever again to release the rear of theseat from the floor. The seat will tumble forwardautomatically.

Automatic Release Fold and TumbleFeature2. From the front seats,press one of theautomatic seat releasebuttons located onthe overhead console.The transmission must be in PARK (P) for this featureto work.Folding and Tumbling the Seat(s){CAUTION:Automatically folding and tumbling the seatwhen someone is sitting in the seat, couldcause injury to the person sitting there. Make sure that there is nothing under, in front of, oron the seat.Overhead ConsoleButtons shown, PanelButton similarWhen accessing the third row seats, if your vehiclehas them, from the outside of the vehicle, pressthe button on the panel behind either rear door.One press of the button automatically foldsthe seatback flat and tumbles the seat forward.There will be a slight delay between the folding ofthe seatback and the tumbling of the seat.Notice: Folding a rear seat with the safety beltsstill fastened may cause damage to the seat or thesafety belts. Always unbuckle the safety beltsand return them to their normal stowed positionbefore folding a rear seat.1-15

Theseatback cannot be raised if the seat is not latchedto the floor.{CAUTION:If the seatback is not locked, it could moveforward in a sudden stop or crash. That couldcause injury to the person sitting there. Alwayspush and pull on the seatback to be sure it islocked.2. Lift the seatback and push it rearward. Push andpull on the seatback to make sure it is locked.1-16A safety belt that is improperly routed, notproperly attached, or twisted will not providethe protection needed in a crash. The personwearing the belt could be seriously injured.After raising the rear seatback, always checkto be sure that the safety belts are properlyrouted and attached, and are not twisted.3. Make sure that the safety belt in the center seatingposition is not caught between the two seats and isnot twisted.

Folding and Tumbling the Second RowSeat(s) from the Third Row Seats orOutside2. Press the automaticseat release buttonlocated on thepanel behind therear doors.{CAUTION:Using the third row seating position while thesecond row is folded, or folded and tumbled,could cause injury in a sudden stop or crash.Be sure to return the seat to the passengerseating position. Push and pull on the seat tomake sure it is locked into place.To fold and tumble the seat from the third row seats, ifyour vehicle has them, do the following:1. Make sure that there is nothing under, in front of, oron the seat.Notice: Folding a rear seat with the safety beltsstill fastened may cause damage to the seat or thesafety belts. Always unbuckle the safety beltsand return them to their normal stowed positionbefore folding a rear seat.Driver’s Side Rear PanelButton shownOne press of the button automatically folds theseatback flat and tumbles the seat forward. Therewill be a slight delay between the folding of theseatback and the tumbling of the seat.Bucket Seats (Second Row)If your vehicle has bucket seats, the seatbacks can bereclined, the seats can be folded for additional cargospace, or folded and tumbled for easy entry and exit tothe third row seats, if your vehicle has them. Theseseats will have either the manual fold and tumble featureor the automatic seat release fold and tumble feature.1-17

Reclining SeatbacksTo recline the seatback, do the following:To return the seatback to an upright position, do thefollowing:1. Lift the lever fully without applying pressure to theseatback and the seatback will return to the uprightposition.{CAUTION:If the seatback is not locked, it could moveforward in a sudden stop or crash. That couldcause injury to the person sitting there. Alwayspush and pull on the seatback to be sure it islocked.2. Push and pull on the seatback to make sure it islocked.1. Lift the lever located on the outboard side ofthe seat.2. Move the seatback to the desired position, thenrelease the lever to lock the seatback in place.3. Push and pull on the seatback to make sure it islocked.1-18

Manual Fold and Tumble FeatureFolding and Tumbling the Seat(s)To fold and tumble the seat, do the following:1. Make sure that there is nothing under, in front of, oron the seat.Notice: Folding a rear seat with the safety beltsstill fastened may cause damage to the seat or thesafety belts. Always unbuckle the safety beltsand return them to their normal stowed positionbefore folding a rear seat.The seatback will fold forward. Leaving the seatbackin this position creates a flat load floor.If the seatback cannot fold flat, try moving the frontseat forward and/or put the front seatback in theupright position.2. Lift the lever, located on the outboard side of theseat, to release the seatback.1-19

3. Lift the lever again torelease the rear of theseat from the floor.The seat will tumbleforward.Returning the Seat(s) to the SittingPositionTo return the seat to the sitting position, do the following:1.
